Hiked from Grund to Wengen through Kliene Scheidegg. This is a classic Swiss hike with the North Face of the Eiger hanging in the clouds. We were there on a shoulder season so not real busy. We sat outside at a yurt like bar and had a couple beers before heading to Wengen. Hike it and stay away from the... More

Kleine Scheidegg is the starting place for the journey up to the "Top Of Europe" train ride and you can get to it from Interlaken Ost or from Grindelwald train stations.Once you are there, you are confronted with the three mighty Jungrfau Mountains on one side, the town of Grindelwald on the other side and the Maanlichen mountain on the other,so truly... Good place for watching the glimbers on the Eiger's North Face. Bad thing is that even outside holiday season it is really crowded up there, because of skiers and snowboarders. More

We did many lovely walks to and from Kleine Scheidegg. One day across to Wengen & down to Lauterbrunnen. Another day to/from Grindlewald. Beautiful mountain scenery. Well marked walking trails. You can always take the train - also spectacular views. More

Going up to Kleine Scheidegg from Interlaken itself was a treat! We went in one of those trains where the windows can be pulled all the way down! The air was chilly but so refreshing. The views were so picturesque like out of a postcard. To me, it was the most beautiful sight i had ever seen. A beautiful winter... More

My girlfriend and I decided to head for Jungfraujoch instead of Schilthorn since the weather was perfect. Its still expensive (even with discounts for swiss pass holder), and the journey is quite long, but truly worth the visit. There are a few stops for photo taking, when we finally reached the top, the view of the glacier below was beautiful,... More

The trip to Jungfraujoch, while a bit on the pricey side, is not one to miss. Literally the top of Europe, the whole thing is an experience from getting there to the view to the crisp clean air. The whole Jungfrau region is one I highly recomend. More

We took the cogwheel train from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg. Initially we thought the windows were permanently shut with 2 coat-hanger studs, so pictures taken thru windows suck big time. but we managed to draw down the windows and smell the chilly fresh alpine air while busy admiring the scene and clicking away on the camera!!! Upon arrival, we proceeded... More

We took the cable car from Wengen to Mannlichen, after travelling from Murren by rail. We emerged at Manlinlichen to thick fog, sleet and a temperature of 2degrees, but decided to carry out our intentions and head for Kleine Schiedegg . If anything the weather added to our experience, giving the feeling of isolation and wonder, knowing we were surrounded... More

We caught the cable car up to mannlichen , hiked the summit and then took the easy walk to Klein schiedegg a few days ago. The views are spectacular and there are many spots to sit and marvel at the views on the way. At klein schiedegg, there are are several restaurants and bars- indoors and outdoors for food and...
