Kleine Scheidegg is where you start your journey towards the mighty top of Europe Jungfraujoch. The journey is really fun. The window opens from the above & sit on the right side to see maximum valley.

The village is basically just a railway station where three lines converge, plus a cluster of hotels. In much the same way that the Mona Lisa is just a few daubs of paint on a canvass. This is a place of outstanding natural beauty. The snow-covered Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau loom in the background, too big to fit into a... More

On the way from Grindelwald or Wengen you encounter Kleine Scheidegg, catch a train to the Jungfraujoch or walk to Mannlichen(which I'd have preferred but due to the paucity of time I couldn't) This is the real slice of nature that one could have and hiking, is definitely the best way to go!

It is best to hike from Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg. The snow capped mountains and the valley of Grindelwald are views to die for. Great place to enjoy the mountain views during your stay in the region.

A stunning train ride from Grindelwald or Wengen takes you to Kleine Scheidegg, from where you can catch the train to the Jungfraujoch, walk to Mannlichen or simply admire the mighty trio of snow capped mountains - the Eiger, the Jungrau and the Monch. The scenery is unparalleled and among the best you'd find anywhere in the world. This is... More

Just take a breath and be silence as you marvel at the superb mountain view. I gotta say a cup of coffee would be perfect too! Highly recommended!

If you are planning a trip to Jungfraujoch you must stop by this beautiful little place. In the winter time it is totally crowded with skiers and in the summer time with backpackers, sunbathers etc. You can get there either by the mountain train, which is not cheap, or you can walk. If you decide for the latter, you need... More

Traffic free village high in the Bernese Oberland. Famous as the place where trains disgorge Chinese and Arab tourists who then catch the cable car up to the highest train station in Europe, the Jungfraujoch. Kleine Scheidegg is also famous for its Hotel Bellevue, where guests can survey climbers on the Eiger via telescopes on its terrace. Made famous by... More

It's half way to Jungfraujoch and you can have great views of Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger. There are shops, hotels, restaurants in the area and it's worth spending time there.

We took a fairy tale train journey through the valleys and mountains to get here. Picture postcard all the way. The Eiger mists played with us a while but she divested herself of clouds and that huge wall of mountain before us came out to say a spectacular hello! The train back down through Grindelwald was just as giving and... More
