Good views over Interlaken and good for photos. Not always open out of season. If you stay at Happy Inn you get a discount on the trip along with free bus travel about Interlaken.

It takes only 8 mins for the funicular ride from the station near Interlaken Ost train station to reach the top of the Harder (pronounced Har-ter). Make sure you check the timetable first. The funicular leaves just across from Interlaken Ost train station. The trip up and back costs CHF 28. Be advised that the funicular does not run between about 12:00 and 13:00, which is extremely ironic given that many people will want to have lunch at the restaurant at the top!

A wonderful place to enjoy stunning views over InterlakenThis and the surrounding area. We bought coffees from the little cafe, managed to get a table outside on the terrace and ate some luxury chocolates we had bought in the town below! Lovely!!

The harder Kulm is 567 meters above and you Need to travel with the vornecular bahn which is quite fun.

My husband and I really enjoyed taking the train up and enjoying the amazing views of Interlaken. Even though it was fairly cloudy the day we went up we still had pretty good views and were able to take in the sites. We wouldn't necessarily reccommend the cafe for lunch as it is fairly expensive. But overally a very worthwhile...

We took the small funicular up to the Harder Klum, just before the main East train station in Interlaken. Once on top, we were surprised to find a nice cafe with a patio.
