Amazing setting!

Lunchtime is best here because the prices are more reasonable. The food is always delicious and the staff are helpful too :)

Do to very heavy snowfall, we decided to walk from the centre of Grindelwald to the Wetterhorn. The restaurant is very nice, decorated in typical swiss style. The food was well priced and portions large. It certainly set us up for the walk back to Grindelwald. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time. Probably also a nice place... More

There are some great walks around and up this mountain and some of the paths are so breathtaking, with fantastic views of the Eiger and down the valley...a climber's and walker's paradise.

Our first real mountain,on way from Meriingen to Grindelwald. Massive piece of rock with cloud as a collar. Beautiful sloping valleys with grazing cattle (those bells !!) underneath.

At the end of the road (the bit up the mountain is only for bus) there is a big parking lot and a nice restaurant with sunny seating outside. The perfect place to wait for the bus and gaze at the glacier above. Starting point for many walks and MTB routes.

The ridge is fairly good scrambling. The snow slope on the other side gets very soft early in the day and can be a bit slippy so be... More
