We had a 3 day pass so we hired a couple of sledges and went to the top. There is a designated run for sledges and hikers which is excellent. We stopped halfway and had a Beer and the views are to the back of the Eiger. It was a little bit slushy in parts but it was good fun... More

We got the cable car up (half price fare with your visitors card), and hiked up towards the oberjoch, absolutely stunning views of the Eiger and the valley.

Took the lift up to hike the Panorama way. Stunning views and a fairly simple hike. There is a bus going back but the way down is worth a hike in itself.

Enjoyed the long runs, but need better infrastructure when you arrive in the village, you can wait 20 mins for a bus to pass by!!!

Really liked the efficient set up. Small restaurants everywhere with good service. Skiing back down to Grindelwald made easy.

First has a good variety of runs at all levels with two snow parks. All the lifts were open and there was plenty of snow. There is also a good selection of restaurants for lunch although expensive by British standards. There is a nice long red to the bottom to end the day with a regular 15 minute bus service... More

Did the zip wire at First and it was truly spectacular - was over too fast, the wait in the queue was worth it.

Good all round skiing for beginners, upwards. Bodmi area by the village for the children and other beginners to learn. First has all levels of skiing and you can walk or toboggan.

Super cable car ride from Grindelwald up to First. Great views on the way and at the top. Later we took the cable car to Bort and hiked down the mountain back to Grindelwald. Bracing wonderful day.

After skiing two days from the Maennlichenbahn area up towards the Eiger, we decided to try skiing from the Firstbahn. First of all - oh my goodness, what a queue!! We arrived at just after nine am, hoping to miss the ski schools, and the queue was well outside the lift building and halfway down the hill. It took us... More
