We went in October of 2011 so autumn was everywhere and still leaves were on the trees. The ride up was covered by our Swiss pass which was fantastic. We were headed to Trummelbach Falls and had several options to get there from Grindelwald, but we were glad we took this one. Had it been a bit later, this would... More

My wife and inlaws decided to take the cable ride up the MT around 4pm on a Friday. We bought our tix, half price because it was after 3pm and headed up. The ride up was beautiful. The view from the top unforgettable. The only problem was that when we decided to come back down, at 6:45pm we found out... More

We took the cable car up to Mannlichen and hiked down to Kleine Sheidegg. Highly recommend this walk, it's quite simple and provides amazing scenery the whole way through! There's also a little walk up from the Mannlichen cable car to the nearby peak where you can get great 360 views of the alps.

Easy walk along the ridge from Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg - with gorgeous views down to Gindelwald along the way. Then tougher uphill walk before major downhill trek to Wengen. Picnic stop alongside a small lake with mountain backdrops was stunning. Family group aged 7-72 managed it fine - although was a pretty much full day walk/trip. So beautiful.

From Grindelwald take the cable ride to the top of the "Männlichen" and then walk over to the Kleine Scheidegg. Beautiful and stunning views of glaciers and the "Eiger Wall". Easy walk, no climbing, basically flat all the way, 90 minutes. From the Kleine Scheidegg take the train back to Grindelwald.

This was my first visit to the Alps and although I was enchanted with all the cable car rides to mountain summits, I was not enchanted with the prices. After many hour of research on the internet I hit on what was a perfect solution. Take the cable car from Grindelwald to Mannlichen (about 80 CHF for a family of... More

My wife, daughter (less than year old) and I went to this place last July. It was a wonderful lift by a cable car that takes almost 30 minutes to reach the summit so be aware of the time. The last pickup from the top is 6:30PM. It's worth the visit if you are going with younger children. There you... More

I visited the Mannlichen from the Grindelwald side (as this is where I was staying) on May 27, 2012. There happened to be a special offer whereby I paid for a single ticket and got a return. As I also had a Swiss Pass, the cost was vastly reduced to something like 16.50CHF. The gondola station in Grindelwald is easy... More

Accessible by foot or cable-car, this ridge-top vantage allows vistas from Interlaken to the Jungfrau. Dizzying heights without walls create an effect that can only be bested by the many para-gliders frequently seen leaving the earth from this majestic point. I have visited Mannlichen three times and will most likely be there again this summer. Sim;y incredible.

Hard to beat the vistas of this ski resort, with the Eiger towering nearby. If renting equipment, suggest waiting until you get to the top so you don't have to lug it back to town. Good bunny hill for beginners; however, if you have a newer skiier there aren't too many runs to select from. Helpful and friendly staff, but... More
