A lovely day to relax and just enjoy the mountains and viaducts going by. The seats were comfortable, the Windows gigantic to enable a Panorama view of the scenery. The only downside was that the stopover was too short to find a Restaurant and get back to the Train. Another Option would have been to stay overnight which would have... More

Starting from the wonderful small town of Tirano, Italy we went North on the Bernina route. We stayed at the Bernina Hotel which was great. We did not take the Express train but did the standard rail cars which travels the exact same tracks. We did this for the ease of taking photos from the open windows by your seats.... More

If there is one thing you need to do in life then it's to travel on the Bernina Express. The most amazing 4.5 hours of the best jaw dropping scenery I have ever seen. We saw this in the summer but would also love to see it in the winter too. You get to go up to around 2000 metres... More

We travelled to Tiefencastel for this breathtaking trip over the Bernina Pass 9462 feet, to Poschiavo on the Italian border. The panoramic windows gave us a wonderful opportunity for viewing and of course taking great pictures. A word of warning, unlike our railways they run on time to the minute so be aware it will not wait for you if... More

Words can't really describe the views on this scenic train ride. You have to experience it, as the videos online as beautiful as they are, don't do this trip justice. If possible, treat yourself to the first class seating as the panoramic windows are great. My son and I boarded the Bernina in Tirano and went north ending in Chur.... More

Travelled on the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur in July 2014 with my girlfriend. Stayed the night at the Bernina Hotel the night before we left. Great hotel and amazing town! Very surprised that a town this small was so good! The Bernina Express leaves at 2:04pm each day and arrives at Chur at about 6:30pm. We reserved our... More

We took Bernina express in june and it was truly wonderful day! The train itself is very comfortable - big windows and good seats. We're lucky - only two of us were in car, so we could walk around and take photos from any window :)

My husband and I were lucky to go on the Bernina Express in June 2014 and wow what a experience. The view from the train is breathtaking, with so many opportunities to take photos, so make sure your camera is charged. This is a must to experience so put it on your bucket list.

Wow. First, it is well worth getting a first class ticket, and sit in the right hand side of the train. Bring binoculars and cameras, snacks. Sit back for the ride of a lifetime. As the train starts you are taken through stunning vista after vista, no point me describing them but each is increasingly spectacular. The English commentary is... More
