We took the Glacier Express from Brig to Chur on Jun 25. As we had the Swiss pass, our son reserved for us with the extra reservation cost plus ordered us the 3 course meal. As the weather was good, the scenery was very beautiful. My husband's ear phone didn't work, so it was a pity he could not hear... More

We stayed one night in Zermatt to be able to catch the glacier express as far as Chur. We had a Swiss pass so only had to pay to book seats 30 euros each. In the end we decided not to travel on the GE but take the regular train which goes over exactly the same route if you go... More

We took the Glacier Express from Brig to Zermatt & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We found the journey to be very scenic.

We were looking forward to our trip on 13th June from Chur to Zermatt.on the Glacier Express which also included a three course meal. Coffee was extra? The meal itself was basic but acceptable but the service was atrocious. We had our meals almost thrown at us and the staff manners were none existent. I had soup spilled onto my... More

We travelled on the Glacier Express- one of the top 10 train 'journey's' in the world. I say this because it's the scenery and not the train that give this route that top 10 status. We took the whole route from Zermatt to Saint Moritz- 8.5 hrs. The train wasn't as comfortable as I would've expected, especially after paying to... More

My husband, 3-month-old daughter and I rode from Zermatt to St. Moritz and we left feeling a little disappointed. I booked our tickets over the phone a few days before the trip. There were only first class seats left. On the phone I was given a booking number that I was to reference at the train station to get our... More

We took the Glacier express from Brig to Chur. The train was clean and the staff friendly. However I felt the journey was not worth the money and to be called one of the world most scenic train rides in the world. The scenery was quite boring. I had seem far more exciting scenery on the normal train from Geneva... More

We had traveled on the Glacier Express and it was definitely a disappointment. We thought we would have a glimpse of the snow covered peeks and picturesque scenery but didn't witness much of it. Definitely it can be avoided.

We travelled from Brig to Chur on the Glacier Express - a journey of 100 miles (160Km) that took 4 hours ! A levy of 33 CHF is levied on top of the ticket price for travelling on the "express" train. This is cheaper out of peak season. For the surcharge you get a seat reservation, a direct (through train)... More

The Glacier Express Line is a just great scenery but you can do it cheaper and better on a local train. We took the Glacier Express and it was quite sterile with big panarama windows and the silver service over priced food. We should have done what we did on the Bernina a Express which was a local train with... More
