This was a big disapointment , may be because this was the last leg of our Swiss /Germany journey and we had seen many beautiful sights this was nothing spectacular . The 7 hour journey seemed to be excruciatingly long . The panaromic coaches are beautiful but on a sunny day the sun can hurt you . I dont think... More

We took the Glacier Express all the way from St Mortiz to Zermatt. It was the perfect way to get from A to B. The train carriages are panorama style so you can fully appreciate the surrounds, and the commentary is very informative. The carriage was not completely full as we travelled, and we were able to move about to... More

Wow... wow... wow!!! This were our comments when the train emerged from a tunnel, the whole surrounding were in total white, its the Swiss Alps passing by us.... its truly a great experience for someone from Asia. You get to dine onboard which make the experience complete. Kudos to Glacier Express!!

We travelled in Glacier Express from Zermatt to St. Moritz. After doing some wonderful train journeys like the TranzAlpine train in New Zealand and Rocky Mountain in Canada, this train journey was not equivalent to the beauties that the other two train routes provided to me. Glacier Express is just like any other train in Switzerland. One should not pay... More

We had a great day traveling from Zermatt to Chur. using a Swiss Pass (2nd class) for our 2 wks, we decided to trade up and buy first class seats and a meal for that day. We found this was not really necessary. They do not have the panoramic front of train seats like the Golden Pass from Montreux. There... More

We had bought first class tickets using an 8 day Swiss pass. Initially we had some reservations about the trip we were travelling from St Moritz to Zermatt as it was going to take 8 hours or so. This misconception was quickly dispelled as the train journey was captivating. Awesome and spectacular views and we had a beautiful sunny day.... More

To get some great views of the Swiss landscape, you can undertake this journey. You have tickets also available for first class. They serve you lunch on your seats and they have some great Indian vegetarian options. We loved the dish we ordered. The journey is between Zermatt and St. Moritz and takes about 7 hours. You can get a... More

We boarded the first class carriage in Chur bound for Zermatt. The lunch on board was lovely, the staff attentive but not overly so as to be a bother. the scenery was magnificent. I would recommend the experience to anyone.

We spent three days on the Glacier Express and loved every minute of it, especially the children! Clean, modern trains - running often and on time. Most spectacular scenery. A must!
