Biggest waterfall in Europe just inside the Switzerland border. You can take a boat ride right up to the waterfall and if you want to you can even climb the steps in the centre of the waterfalls to look down from the top. Several different rides to choose from, so make sure you get the one to suit you, but... More

Wonderful location to take in the beauty of the Rhein river and the waterfalls. Tickets were easy to purchase on sight.

Visited with my girlfriend in July 2014 for a day trip. Got the train from Zurich which was very simple. Had an amazing day at the falls. Beautiful scenery and relatively cheap to get on the boats or maybe even just walk around the falls. If you have some time, head over to the town of Schaffhausen by train. Amazing... More

My husband and I live in Germany. We have had so many visitors looking for good day trips from our area and who want to check another Country off their list. We found the visit to Rhine Falls to be easy and wonderful. I loved it because it was easy to drive to, directions are very clear, and there was... More

Although it was a nice afternoon, it is somehow a bit dissapointing that these falls are Europe`s biggest: Dont expect too much, it is a must see and it is nice but nothing more. It is worth te visit but keep in mind that apart from the falls there isnt much else to do.

It is located in the north of Switzerland, at the border to Germany. If you can afford the time for the lengthy trip, you should visit. It is a wide fall which can be viewed from different points. Sightseeing boats can take you to the big rock within the fall. There are several restaurants nearby. If you are not with... More

If you're within driving distance of Rheinfalls, then they really are a must see. Absolutely breathtaking.

My husband and I were recently in the area of the Rheinfalls and went over for the day. We were not disappointed - they were fantastic. Some of the viewing areas make you feel as though you are right in the waterfall. We did not do the boat tour so can't comment on that. Would highly recommend a visit.
