This is the largest waterfall in Europe. You can get there by train or by car taking the road towards Schaffhaussen then Reinfallstrasse to the parking lot ( 3 franks for 2 hours) at the head of Reinfallquai from where an easy footpath takes you down towards the falls past a snack bar where the less energetic can stop for... The Falls are beautiful and you can walk fairly far down so you can get very close to the bottom of the Falls. There is a small gift shop were you can get some fun souvenirs. The restaurant is quite expensive however, so we opted to leave the area to get something to eat.

The falls are simply breath taking. I would recommend a boat ride towards the falls to experience the thrill. Great place to click pics as the location is picture post card perfect. Not much to do, but admire nature and soak in the amazing atmosphere. There are two good restaurants at the location serving decent, but pricey meals.

A lot of parking sites to use min for 2 hours- prices start from 5 CHFs. The walk by the Rheinfall takes at least one and a half hour. If you plan to cross the train bridge and have a view from the other side of the Rheinfall, you need one more hour and an extra entrance ticket. But, it... More

This gigantic flow of water is a superb gift of nature to earth, all the European should be prod of it. When you go close you feel the amazed and would not like to come back from fall. One can spent entire day there and he will be as energitic as ever.

I visited this fall in the april, weather was cold but still it was very pleasant experience to roam around this fall during the evening time. I entered the fall from the side of SIG building and while walking down you can see a nice water turbine followed by close view of the falls which no doubt breath taking experience.... More

The Rheinfall is always a good experience, a scenic place and easy to see. We visited during winter for the first time and it was just great, not crowded as in summer, just a relaxed stroll. Contrary to what has been said in an other earlier review, this is possible also with older people or with handicapped visitors, as there... More

Be careful if visiting at night as the night we were there, the lights at the fall did not come on, which only happens a copuple of times in a year!
