The viewing platform and walk down to the falls were nice but it was the short boat journey that made it so memorable. We paid €8-9 each for a 30-45min ride that took us down the river, back up again, and almost within touching distance of the falls. The views from the boat were staggering. A fantastic day out.

we went there in the morning through train. chilled it was. but the view was just breathtaking. best part was that it was not at all crowded. peaceful. you can just roam around for a while.

Great feeling to be so close to awesome power of water(fall), to feel water drops, and hear the thunder that the Rhine can produce :)

We took a boat ride near Rheinfall and it was a great experience. Do take an extra change of clothes/ wind cheater if you want to climb up to the flag post.

A recommended place to bring visitors to Rheinfall. Be prepared however if coming during winter/ early spring as the chill from the wind may be intolerable if not properly bundled up. In summer, usually we include the boat rides for our guests. As it involves walking up and down steps, ladies in stilettos are just looking for trouble, well, unless... More

This falls gives an excellent feeling that a river starts from here and going throughout several countries to reach the sea. The flow of water is enormous and place I found is very calm and quiet and had spent few hours there. This is worth to visit.

Rheinfall is the biggest cataract in Europe. You have to buy your ticket 5CHF at the shop right next to the parking space. There is an elevator for the first bit, in case you bring a stroller or a wheelchair. It will bring you only to the first platform. Only by foot yo can go further down the stairs until... More

There are two place to see the Rheilfall, the best view you get from the side of Neuhausen; you see it just in front. At the other side with the platform it's more passing by. Its great to see the Rhein in its beginning, especcially as being Dutch and knowing how and where it ends.

We visited Rheinfall on August 01. This is national holiday in Switzerland and for this reason there is a fireworks on the Rheinfall every year. I visited Rheinfall the first time and I have never seen a waterfall as big as Rheinfall before. It is very impressive to see and hear it. There are plenty of spots to see the... More
