We enjoyed this experience more than our "top of europe" Jungfrau trip; fewer crowds, amazing views and $275 less!!!

My initial plan was to visit mount Titlis and Mount Pilatus during my stay at Lucerne, however when i heard from one of my friend that mount Rigi also could be a good options since I am also planning to visit Jungfreu ... I can skip mount Pilatus and on that day I can get on to Mount Rigi, the... More

We were taken here by family who are keen outdoors people and live in the area. Heading up on the cog railway cost about 50CHF for each adult but the kids (14 year olds) were free. The top was crowded and the views were great. We then walked down and around the various pathways seeing lovely wild flowers and spectacular... More

went in May'14, perfect weather, cooling but with bright sunshine. take the train up, enjoy the 360 degree view. take a slow walk down hill to enjoy the view, reach the cable car station and took the ride down all the way, 3 in 1 experience. can not have anything better than this. :-)

My wife and I decided to go for hiking in Mount Rigi during our honeymoon trip! Out of the norm, but we did not regret it at all. We took a funicular up from Vitznau to Rigi Kulm (covered by Swiss Pass) and love the view. As inexperience hikers, we chose the easy path as recommended by Mount Rigi website... More

First off, if you're traveling with a Swiss Pass, this entire experience comes at NO additional charge ( a definite plus for super expensive Switzerland). You can take the boat from Luzern to Vitznau, board a cogwheel train that will take you to the top of Rigi, then enjoy a number of hiking options back down the mountain. We chose... More

As soon as the sun came out, I took the train up. Of course, one can hike/walk up as well, however I had left my boots behind, and of course then had to pay for the train ticket (quite pricy, might I add). Yet, it was still one of my highlights during my visit to Switzerland. The top of Rigi... More

Really unbelievable views and such well organised paths and signage. The air is so clean and the walks are just right and not too challenging for people even of you just want 'a nice stroll'.

This is a place not to be missed. I loved it. I stayed there for a few day and walked a letup and down. It is better on a week day as it is not very crowded or less crowded. You can get there by train which is quite expensive but quick and a nice experience. I have both walked... More
