This is a wonderful experience where the views to all of the surrounding Cantons is spectacular. Towards Zürich and Zug, to the Lake Lucerne, to the alps all around - Wonderful. However you come here, even on foot is possible - but most use the railways - you can come from Vitznau with the railway, from Weggis with the Cablecar,... More

The hiking trails are beautiful, mix of forests and meadows and if you land up in July cherry trees ! The tourist information centre in Weggis is very helpful and I would recommend staying in Weggis and not Lucerne if hiking is on your mind. Its a beautiful town, peaceful and quiet

If you're in Lucerne or nearby on a bright, clear afternoon, this is the best place you could head to! If you have a Swiss Travel Pass, you need not spend another cent on this trip. Take a scenic boat ride from Lucerne to Weggis/Vitznau and hop on to the cable-car (Weggis) or the Mountain Rail (Vitznau) to head to... More

Indeed its correctly called Queen of Mountains. Visiting Rigi was a wonderful experience. The mountain valley was filled with lush green grass and flowers unlike the snow capped mountains. The visit to Rigi is free for Swiss Rail Pass holders. Please do not ignore visiting this beautiful mountain. It would be a totally different experience. You can take a boat... More

Staying in Zurich I was recommended to take the circular tour - train to Goldau and then cog railway to Mt. Rigi. Afterward down to Vitznau and boat to Lucerne, then train back to Zurich. Mt Rigi is a great start to a tour if you only have a few days in Switzerland. Beautiful views over the mountains - we... More

You have four ways to get to the summit: Trains from either Vitznau or Arth/Goldau, a cable car from Weggis -- or walk! (takes a fit person about 4 hours from either Weggis or Vitznau) There are typical Swiss restaurants at several stops along the way, as well as at the top. In summer, enjoy the great views while hiking... More

Fabulous views from the top but travel early to avoid the crowds. It is weather dependant for the views and you may have to wait for the clouds to move but well worth the visit.

Loved going up Mt.Rigi. First its a short boat trip from lake Lucerne to Vitznau. Then u get into Rigibahn, a small cog train operating since 1871, to Rigi Kulm. Mind-blowing views throughout your journey and when you reach the top its magnificent. There's a good hotel at d top too, where you can have some snacks while enjoying the... More

The Rigi can be climbed or can be ascended by cable car from Weggis and train from Vitznau or .Arth Goldau There are plenty of walks that are not difficult and lovely views. No problem finding refreshment. Can start from Luzerne by boat.

Experience at 1800 meters above the see level and 360 degree panorama view with 13 lakes at once, that would be an amazing time for you over a Swiss Alp. The great time can get both in Summer and Winter. You can get the ticket online if you have exactly plan in advance at www.swisspasses.com. www.rigi.ch is also the best... More
