Able to park the car a little way up on the road at Riedsort on lake Lucerne and then walked to train station at Romiti Felsentor. I would highly recommend this beautiful walk. We walked up around 2,000 feet. On the way we passed a little farm area with ducks, hens and pigs, a lovely little Chapel and beautiful views... More

I booked at the train station, not a tour. It was 98fr including a 10fr restaurant voucher. This included boat on lake Lucerne cog train up the mountain and cable car down. The views are spectacular. Coming from Australia this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Everyone working on the boat and train are so happy and friendly. If... More

We took a cruise over to Vitznau from Lucerne and then took a cable car up the mountain. The views were fantastic. We ate lunch and walked to the top. Panoramic scenes of snow covered mountains with the lake in the valley.

This a truly wonderful sightseeing choice. Even the trip with the world's steepest cogwhell railway is a lifetime experience yet the views from the top on a beautiful day is an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a tasty lunch or dinner in the friendly restaurant.

We extended a river cruise with several days in Lucerne. (Get ready to pay $ for anything there.) The favorite thing we did was a trip to Mt. Rigi. It helped that the weather was beautiful. The trip started with a boat ride across Lake Lucerne, then a cog railway up the mountain. A fun way to go up. It... More
