Take a stroll 'through' Lake Luzern and appreciate the beauty of the varnished handcrafted wood, the carefully selected flowers and the layout of the town's most famous bridge. Don't discount the walk through at night as there's something different about the bridge at that more peaceful time.

A nice walk across the bridge during sunset! Amazing views of the surroundings, of snow-capped mountains in the distance, and views of the shops along Old Town Lucerne. There were swans and ducks on the small lake! No need for a special trip there, but a nice short walk across the bridge would be memorable for those staying in the... More

This is a very old bridge except for one section which burned in a fired in 1993. The only way to tell that the section has been rebuilt is to look at the foundation which is concrete vs. the wood piers of the original section. The paintings inside the bridge which survived the fire are amazing considering there age and... More

This pedestrian covered wooden bridge is such a rarity and a delight. The bridge goes at an angle from one bank to the water tower and then from the water tower to the other bank. This, plus the fact that there are paintings and drawings on the eaves of the bridge and seats along the walkway, make it very conducive... More

The oldest wooden bridge in Europe from the 13 hundreds. Top attraction in Lucern. Great pictures can be had with the city skyline in the back.

This lovely old bridge was nearby our hotel so we crossed it many times during our 3 day stay. It spans the River Reuss diagonally which immediately gives it a different look and feel. But it is the wooden structure that really feels different and distinguished especially at night when the soft lighting in the overhead wooden beams lights the... More
