Amazing to think of all the feet which have travelled the length of the bridge before you. Take the time to examine the paintings above your head. Some are damaged by the fire, but they are a glimpse into history. Absorbing.

Chapel Bridge is very pretty but go early so that you can enjoy it without the throngs of tourists that come later in the morning.

Another place to visit I in lucerne. Nice old bridge which is busy with tourists. Have no idea why? Need to read up on that! But you need to go.

It is a very pretty wooden bridge on the lake with lots of beautiful flowers. The swans on the lake and the nice long walk makes it romantic. It is definitely something you must see if you visit lucerne.

Title says it all. Very pretty, free and interesting but read up before you go because there isn't anything in English to explain the panels or the significance of the bridge.

This wodden bridge is built diagonally across the river from Old to New town. You can walk on the bridge and across to the new town. This bridge is covered unlike other bridges

This bridge is a must see when in the region.. very nice and great for photos.. the bridge is a great way to get across the water that connects to the old part of town.. very cool and steep in historical value. worth a visit.

The bridge has better views from outside, not when you're on the bridge. When you're on the bridge, walking from one side to the other, remember to look up. They have painted pictures in the eaves along the walkway in some parts telling a story which was nice to see.
