We stay in Lucerne for 2 nights. The Chapel bridge is beautiful. There are swans in the lake. There are a lot of flowers. It is also a shopping area.

At basic level, lovely to look at and photograph but really need a guide to explain history. Gets very crowded, pick your time if want to linger.

This was a very cute bridge. It was lined with flower boxes which added to the charm of the city. There was a tour in english flowing us as we walked down the bridge. The lady gave some interesting info about a fire that destroyed a lot of the bridge a while back and some info on the painting in... More

This is an amazing wooden covered bridge that spans the Reuss River. The flower boxes filled with bright reds and pinks on both sides of the bridge are breathtaking!! This pedestrian bridge was built in 1333 ish which is amazing in itself. Very old paintings adorn the interior telling the history of Luzern & Switzerland. Many paintings were lost in... More

Almost looks unreal, it's so pretty! Was there in July when the flowers were blooming bright. There was a young boy playing an Alpine Horn (practicing scales, really) in the middle of it. Beautiful bridge and beautiful city to walk around!

Iconic bridge, beautiful. We saw it when the flowers were in full bloom. Great place to take a photo.

The different views from the bridge are lovely. After 40 years of living in this town i still like to make a D-tour so I can walk over the Kappelbrücke. Don't miss the Spreuerbrücke a little further down the river. It is smaller but at least as beautiful.

What a great job they did rebuilding the bridge after the fire, they have even left some of the chard timbers in place, great piece of work in less that a year.

This bridge is covered with flowers in the summer and is beautiful. It doesn't take long to walk across it and check out the guild symbols hanging from the ceiling. It is something you have to do while in Lucerne.
