The place would have been great in spring but when we went it was raining and also there were no flowers lining the bridge so turned out a damp squib in our trip

Nice place. Very scenic. Do not buy the roasted chestnuts, from the vendors around the area. They smell great but are all rock hard.

This bridge was originally built in the 1300s and rebuilt many times since. A fire in 1992 burned this bridge down and was rebuilt yet again. It serves as a focal point in Old Town Lucerne and is decorated on both sides by hundreds of picturesque flower boxes making this unique bridge colorful. A water tower is connected to the... More

This is very pretty and glad we were able to walk over the bridge and enjoy the scenery. Lots to see and do in the area.

Chapel bridge which is a place very symbolic of Lucerne, was built in 1333 and reconstructed in 1993 after a fire broke down. The bridge is beautifully decorated with seasonal flowers ( pink, yellow). Looked magnificent from a distance. Great photos can be taken there. The ceiling is decorated with loads of old paintings depicting Swiss history. Can't miss the... More

Unique covered wooden bridge with interesting paintings. Sadly it burned down recently but has been restored for the most part. The bridge and Water Tower are at the upper end of the medieval section of Luzern. The Water tower is now private property so could not see it from inside.

You can't miss this bridge as it's a landmark in Lucerne. There's a lot of history behind this wooden bridge and you’ll get a gorgeous view of the city!
