Beautiful

Build in 1333. It takes you over the Reuss River. It can take you to Old Town. Many swans and ducks to see and feed. Read up on the history... Very interesting. Worth the walk.

Picturesque and free attraction in an expensive City. Especially nice to walk along at night or to watch the swans. Very close to the main train station so easy to get to. The bridge itself has been severely damaged by fire in the past and the paintings that line the inside walkway to the bridge are predominantly new (last fire... More

Make sure you visit this place when the flowers are in bloom - after April. Right next to the train station and at the beginning of the old town, it adds to the beauty of the Luzern's downtown area. Definitely worth a stop over.

Lovely old covered wooden bridge with plenty of history and offering good photo opportunities. Chapel Bridge offers a range of views of Lucern and its river and lake. I can't think of a nicer way to cross a river on foot.

Wow, seeing it live is so much better and prettier than in the pictures. The setting is perfect. You have to walk inside of it but be forewarn it is very crowded, but don't let that stop you.

This old wooden bridge is decorated with beautiful flowers. There are many paintings on the ceiling of the bridge. You cross the bridge to enter the marketplace which itself has many elaborate drawings on the walls. The water below makes the stroll through this bridge peaceful and somehow stalls time.

This is the biggest attraction in Lucerne. It's a must see histroical landmark. Walk across the bridge and view the ancient paintings mounted on the ceiling of the inside of the bridge. Beautiful both in summer with the flowers or in winter covered in snow.

A very unique bridge to visit diagonally crossing Reuss River in Lucerne near the mouth opening into Lake Lucerne. The 14th century bridge has been damaged on a few occasions including the 1993 fire. The fire damaged some of the 17th century paintings that hang above the walkway on the bridge, but it is still worth the visit, and is... More

Strolling across such a historic landmark and with such a history leaves an impression. Suggest take the time to read a bit about the bridge's history and devastating fire to be able to appreciate it even more. would also explain many of the blank overhead areas where paintings are supposed to be. Nice and close to Lucerne station and perfect... More

Great quaint covered bridge . Has a curio shop on it ( but costly) . What is more it is disabled friendly so that every one can enjoy. Right across it are several eating joints and bars.
