I recently had the pleasure of participating in René Welti’s ECHO Tour – In the Heart of the Alps. Rene was very well informed and gave me insights to both geography and culture of the region in a way I could never have appreciated from books or the web. His engaging guiding made the adventure one of the best I... More

We had never toured with a guide, but decided to book an E-bike tour with ECHO Trails around Lake Lucerne. It was spectacular......a wonderful ride through the hills surrounding Lucerne stopping at lots of interesting historical sites, on to lunch at a Swiss bistro and then back to our starting point via a lake cruiser. Rene knows the local culture... More

Our half day hike in the Alps was the highlight of a wonderful vacation. The scenery was spectacular and Renee and Dave made our experience unforgettable. They knew so much about the area and were the best! Definitely exceeded our expectations and the next time we are in Switzerland we will be hiking with them again!

Absolutely wonderful! We decided to do the Mt Rigi Hike and Spa on our last day of our 10 day trip around beautiful Switzerland. We were the first Irish customers and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our day. We met up with Rene under the arch in Lucerne and then took the regional train, cog wheel train, walked to... Had a great day with our guides Michael and Dave. Michael even escorted us to the Information Office in the train station after our 8-hour bike trip to help us find info and time tables for our activities on the following day. Hadn't ridden a bike in years but ebikes enabled us to ride 70 kilometers around 3 lakes in... More

Best hike ever!! Weather not so good, but the clouds opened up and the view just spectacular! Rene went out of his way to make this the most memorable day for us. He was extremely informative about the mountains, cows, dairy farms and cheese making as we encountered them along the way. It is amazing to just be there among... More

With a myriad of options to choose from when hiking in Lucerne, I was unsure what would be best to see during my stay. After going on two ECHO Trails tours, I can honestly say that they are definitely the best way to see Switzerland. On the first day, the weather was slightly overcast, so Rene, the tour guide, tailored... More

Echo Trails high ratings and Rene's reputation of being extremely helpful and attentive are very well deserved. The hike was originally planned for a Tuesday. However, with forecasted weather potentially being unfavourable, Rene had kindly kept us consistently updated and in the end re-scheduled the walk for the following day to ensure we get the most enjoyable experience and avoid... I'm super glad our day together was one of those "Blue sky-See all the alpine peaks days". Your Swiss trip preparation; reading the "Swiss Watching" book as an example set you up to maximize your Swiss trip experience. Both of you were so receptive to "go & explore" , you even found your way to the Seelisberg - Aschwanden Kaserei... More
