Had a great day with our guides Michael and Dave. Michael even escorted us to the Information Office in the train station after our 8-hour bike trip to help us find info and time tables for our activities on the following day. Hadn't ridden a bike in years but ebikes enabled us to ride 70 kilometers around 3 lakes in... More

Best hike ever!! Weather not so good, but the clouds opened up and the view just spectacular! Rene went out of his way to make this the most memorable day for us. He was extremely informative about the mountains, cows, dairy farms and cheese making as we encountered them along the way. It is amazing to just be there among... More

With a myriad of options to choose from when hiking in Lucerne, I was unsure what would be best to see during my stay. After going on two ECHO Trails tours, I can honestly say that they are definitely the best way to see Switzerland. On the first day, the weather was slightly overcast, so Rene, the tour guide, tailored... More

Echo Trails high ratings and Rene's reputation of being extremely helpful and attentive are very well deserved. The hike was originally planned for a Tuesday. However, with forecasted weather potentially being unfavourable, Rene had kindly kept us consistently updated and in the end re-scheduled the walk for the following day to ensure we get the most enjoyable experience and avoid... I'm super glad our day together was one of those "Blue sky-See all the alpine peaks days". Your Swiss trip preparation; reading the "Swiss Watching" book as an example set you up to maximize your Swiss trip experience. Both of you were so receptive to "go & explore" , you even found your way to the Seelisberg - Aschwanden Kaserei... More

We took the full day "Heart of the Alps" hike with Rene and his co-guide Paul as part of our time in Luzern during our honeymoon. It was a little cloudy and rainy on the day of the hike, but the mountains still offered beautiful scenery and great views all around us. Rene and Paul made sure we stayed out... More

We spent the day going up Mt Pilatus with Echo Trails guide Paul. The weather was not good but we had a great day. Echo/Paul were very flexible and offered to switch days to get better weather, but our schedule didn't allow it. The walking part of the excursion was something that would have been very difficult on our own.... More

Many thanks for complimenting Paul & ECHO Trails for your Mt. Pilatus tour. You are true sports as the weather conditions were not ideal. The sun and the other alps were out there but were just not visible. Alas mother nature still has the last word. Wishing you continued safe travels and let's get that "alpine panorama" view on your... More

I recently completed my second trip to Luzern, and set out on a mission to experience the essence of Switzerland. Of course in order to acomplish this I absolutely had to hike the Swiss Mountains, and so I invested a fair amount of time researching what tour to join and always found myself turning back to ECHO trails, because of... My wife, 21 year-old daughter, and I had the pleasure of completing the "In the Heart of the Alps" Hike in late May. We met our guide John at the Lucerne Train station, and took a train, bus, and finally, a gondola car before heading up the mountain and hiking down. Although the day started dreary and cloudy, the skies... More

Dear Nazirahim, Many thanks for your kind trip review comments. Denis really enjoyed guiding you and sharing his passion for the Seelisberg-Bauen areas. His namesake "Aschwanden" originates from this area so you really experienced first-hand "local insights". With best regards, René Welti More
