Pilatus the place for dragons and para gliders.

A super day to go up the cable car and down with the steepest cog railway in the world. The views were terrific and people were launching of on para gliders.

Fantastic view and great experience to actually get there. A ferry, steepest cogwheel in the world. Then cable car, gondola and finally a bus to return to Lucern.

One of the most beautiful mountains close to the town of Lucerne, Mt. Pilatus offers beautiful views of Lucerne, many lakes that surround Lucerne and Alps. We were told that you can view 73 alpine peaks from Pilatus and we were quite lucky that the weather stayed faithful to us and we had some of the most pristine views of... More

This is a must see on a sunny day. The views are breathtaking! Take the gondola ride up and the train down for a wonderful experience!

We went on the first morning car ( maybe 8:57 am) and the views (if the weather allows you are just are just amazing). We walk around there is a hotel/ restaurant/ cafeteria/ souvenirs shop/ toilettes and ther are several alphorn s men playing folk songs and it s just great! Top of the world!

We travelled up by the vernacular train . Greate sights going up,and down . Beautiful for photo shoots. Very cold in the snow. Enjoy a coffe and snack in the cafe. Good souvenir shop . Walk ways with hand rails to go upon the peek. Allow 2.5 hours to enjoy .

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Started with a boat across Lake Lucerne followed by a train ride up to the top of the mountain. Both my children use wheelchairs but the staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring it was accessible. There is even a wheelchair accessible rout e at the top of the mountain which they thoroughly enjoyed.... More

We did the golden round trip- good value as we had half fare cards. We went by boat to Alpnachstad, then by cog railway to the top of Pilatus. It was misty at the top but the view going up were great. We returned by gondola to Kriens and then a quick bus back to Luzern. Great day!

My wife and I went on a tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Mt Pilatus and Lake Lucerne were one of the standouts on our 16 day vacation. The Cog Wheel train ride to the top with a 42 degree slope was excellent as well as the view from the top. The ride down was also spectacular on a huge... More

A multiple treat to the senses - boat ride there, cog train ride up, cable car down and bus ride back to Main Train Station. A bit cloudy that day, otherwise awesome view from Mt Pilatus
