First time in my life after being at the top of Pilatus, I got to see layers of clouds meters below me and layers of clouds in the skies as well. From Pilatus, you can also see snow covered mountains from the distance. All of this is totally panoramic picture worthy! Being on the world's steepest cogwheel railway was a... More

Had this as part of the plan, but went up the cog wheel at Interlachen the prior day, and heard the gondola was not running, so was going to bail out. Don't bail! This was easy - 25 minutes by train from Luzern (or take boat), then up the cogwheel to the top - 30 minutes or so. Absolutely a... More

I took this visit as an excursion with a Trafalgar tour and cannot recommend it enough. We happened to get the most perfect day for weather which certainly was a bonus. The ride in the cog wheel train is remarkable but getting to the top for the views is so great. Take time to walk around and hike up some... More

I traveled with a four year old and a 15 month old. I was nervous--but it ended up great! My four year old loved it! Because the gondola ride was under construction-we took the boat and the cogwheel train up the mountain. Both rides were equally amazing! The view can not be beat!

If you can do this excursion it is fully worth, beautiful views and not too difficult hikes. We did a day trip by boat and returned by rail.

Absolutely amazing stay. We were on holiday from South Africa and I had planned our stay as a surprise to my girlfriend at the time, now wife. We started the day with sledding on the lower parts of the mountain and then I proposed on the Dragon path at sunset. The staff were incredibly helpful with everything we needed and... More

Actually if you are planning to go to Titlis and Jungfrau then there is nothing much to see in Pilatus. However we took the cruise trip and that was a nice experience. Lake Lucerne is lovely and one hour cruise was wonderful. The view at the top was good but its a big wait and queue to come down. Would... More

Very pleasant trip up Mount Pilatus. At the top were plenty of walking trails and a gentleman playing the alpine horn. Gorgeous views of the Alps. Highly Recommend!
