You can't come to Luzern without getting on the water. There are many tours. What we did was get get tickets for the "water taxi". Across from the train station is the their station. You can find schedules there. It's less $$$ than a tour. Now no one is talking to you on this boat. The views I think are... More

Step outside the luzern train station for some stunning views of the lake and the mountains (especially on a sunny day). A one hour boat trip is a good idea if the visibility is good.

Took a boat cruise from Lucerne to Vitznau and back after bad weather made heading up Mt Rigi non viable. Whilst not cheap at around 45 CHF return (without passes or discounts) it's a great 2hr round trip with spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains and villages.

The lake is really beautiful and calm, and you see attractive locations (hotels and well-designed homes) on the shores of the lake during the cruise. Take some time to walk in small city of Weggis, where you find very nice hotels and restaurants, and a nice cable car (if you have time).

Beautiful views when you take cruises on the lake with plenty of places you can visit. A variety of sightseeing boats cruise the lake and all of the ones we travelled on we're of a high standard

I visited this place during cold weather. This place is best visited in summer. The lake is beautiful with scenic snow clad mountains around. A boat ride would add to the panoramic charm. Do visit the dying lion monument and dont miss those authentic swizz chocolates. A visit to mt titlis on half day tour is possible from the tourist... More

The route up to the Rigi is a fun run (there are several ways, depending on which side of the mountain you are). The views are stunning and help one to orientate.

We drove all around this lake and it was worth it. Take the time to stop along the way to take pictures, enjoy the beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains. You will not be disappointed.
