It's a great place to visit with your family once it's a rainy day in Lucerne. Unless most of museum's everything can be touched and moved. So it's fun for the kids.

We came here exclusively for the Swiss Chocolate Adventure, and we were not disappointed. Admission at a reasonable rate provided an experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. If you're in Lucerne, you should give this place a visit, if onlu for the chocolate.

This museum was a lot of fun for our whole family. Lots of stuff for the kids to do, but so much for adults to look at too. Don't feel like you can only go here if you have kids! My husband loves planes so there was plenty for him to enjoy, my son loves cars and trains and he... More

Overall, I left disappointed. The model boats were good, so were the planes, and trains, but what I really like is cars. They have a reasonable collection, but you can't get close to them as they are in this silly multi-story display where you "vote" to get the car to be transported to close to you. The voters were a... More

It is great place for kids. Very interactive. The miniature lake with controlled boats, airplanes, sail boats, racing track with mini cars and many more things to do for kids. Some of them a for gratis while some get activated by putting coins in the slot. There is a play area for kids. A food hall too. In the same... More

There is a lot to see one word of advice don't spend too long looking at the train section as there a lot to see. The children particularly enjoyed the planetarium and new chocolate experience (the only disappointment being they only got one chocolate to eat

We changed our plan to have a look of this wonderful museum after reading the promotion leaflet at the Lucerne main station even though we just stayed here for one day, because it's so informative and also entertaining at the same time. You will realize how the Swiss people establish the country as one of the major tourist-friendly travel destinations... More

Plan on spending at least half a day here, this place is huge. The Swiss Museum of Transportation is a modern, well-designed museum dedicated to showcase the history of transportation from a Swiss perspective. This place is child-friendly, although I was with my 20 year old daughter, we both found plenty of things to do ranging from exploring a Convair... More

I suggest a 4 1/2 hours visit. The most interesting is trains (2 hours) with a giant model scale of the Gotthard (not the Base Tunnel) which you should look from every corner (30 min) Planes and space merit one hour. You may enter a Convair Coronado, one of the first four motor jets, with only 3+2 seats in a... More
