While Jesuitenkirche has an interesting history, I would not go out of my way to see it -- combine it with other stops if you're taking a walking tour of old Luzern. If you really like old churches, and your travels take you in the direction of Nationalquai, stop by the Church of St. Leodegar, an older church that dominates... More

The Jesuitenkirche (Jesuit Church) is a marvelous baroque church on the bank of the Reuss River. The church is large and the architecture is a sterling example of baroque architecture.

A great example of an old baroque style building. Unfortunately it was closed to the public so we did not get a chance to see inside.

This is a lovely example of Baroque architecture. It is small but exceptional in the details of the craftsmanship. Quite lovely!

Take a glance at the photos that earlier reviewers have posted of the inside of this small cathedral ,and you will see why it is worth a stop. This is a beautiful, bright serene cathedral, one of the prettiest i have seen.

I love the simplicity of the church unlike many elaborate churches around Europe. That should be a place for prayers and for one to calm their minds.

Beautiful old church. Don't go there during a mass if possible since it can be distracting to the congretation who are not always tolerant of visitors.

Located in the old town of Lucerne, this church is close by the Chapel Bridge and most definitely worth a visit. Decorated in the Baroque style, the interior part of the church is very impressive. Don't let the outside fool you. Once inside, you'll be glad you came.

Watched a choir sing here and the sound was amazing, huge church, and wonderful details. Pull open the giant wood doors to reveal the space inside. A working catholic church as well, in case you want to catch a mass on sunday.

One of the few churches in Switzerland that we visited where you're allowed to take pictures of the interior.
