be aware the building may look closed, the front doors are not the ones facing the lake Leman (Geneva Lake). The staff are very friendly and looked after my suitcase so I could walk around. There are important historical apparatus there that anyone with interest in optics or physics will recognise. Be aware, most apparatus explanations are in French. I... More

Apparently this is the museum that the Genevoise go to and I can see why. The african safari exhibit was extraordinary and many of the displays can be looked at for hours on end. The dinosaurs were my favourite. I went during a week day so it was nearly empty; weekends may not be so. If you're into museums or... More

Animal cries, sounds and environmental rustlings convey a stunning sense of realism. The display is especially memorable for its beauty and clarity, its opulence and intelligence. You may also explore a world of minerals - both terrestrial and extraterrestrial - with the exhibition of meteorites, precious and semi-precious stones and fossils.

I think this museum is a great place to visit with family , especially with kids ... there are a lot of animals, birds, fish, sea creatures ... and everything is very realistic ( all hand made btw ) ... during our visit there were a lot of kids running around and "woowing" all the time ... and on the... The museum is really cool and huge. It can be sightseen by hours, but I did it just in one hour, due to the main disadvantage. What is it? The museum takes place in Geneve, Swiss city. Switzerland as we know are four officials languages, inter alia German and French. Geneve is center of many european, and international organisations, which... More

Do not have so much. Has a model of the geography of Geneva region, with the Alps, Jura and Saleve, very cool. That's it. Perhaps children enjoy more.

A slightly odd but brilliant museum. It feels like the sort of exhibition space you might put together if you had never been to a museum. Lots of animals are in their 'natural' habitats which makes it feel slightly like a very still zoo. However the still alive 2 headed tortoise is a highlight along with Lucy the ancestor. We... More

Natural history is natural history where ever you may be. This museum has very good exhibits in all sections. The mineralogy displays were very well exhibited with a great method of passing on understanding. More than I've seen in other museums.
