Managed to view the lake from Geneva and Montreaux. Lovely, placid, great for a stroll or sit and watch the view. I enjoy the many eateries along its shores.

On our return journey from Geneva we took a ship ride at Lake Geneva to Lausanne, It was an outstanding experience and took around 3 hr as far as I can remember. You will definitely like it no matter if you are traveling couple or family.

The lake is what gives Geneva its picturesque location. There is a small beach and swimming area near the city cdntre. The are also many boats that take you either across the lake or right down it to Motreaux. A place worth visiting is Yvoir on the french side. It's a really old village but very picturesque.

We were only in Geneva for one day and we didn't really see much of the lake. The weather was bad that day. The lakeside was quite crowded at night time.

Beautiful lake with the jet water fountain, swans etc. You can roam around or take a boat from side to side. Some nice attractions around for kids and adults.

Lake Geneva is an integral part of the city. If you go there you have to take a trip on the lake, preferably on one of the old steamers. The scenery is great.

We were in Lausanne, used Swiss Rail Pass and took IR Train to Geneva - <40 min. Walked from the train station to the tourist office (in Post Office) and found out where to take a mini bus tour of Geneva. We strolled down to where Lake Geneva and the Rhône River meet. There was the Jet d’Eau. We crossed... More
