Was surprised to see the lake so crystal clear that you could see some rubbish at the bottom of it. Lovely emerald green. If you stay in a hotel you get free transport passes. You can use them to get a discount on Mouettes, small ferry boats that run across the lakes at certain points. Go for a lake cruise... More

Lake Geneva is stunning!!! It really is gorgeous and so peaceful. I went with my friends and booked a boat trip which was very cheap to have a look at the Lake. It slowly takes you around and explains things to you. I'd highly recommend this. Book through CGN! On the boat you can have drinks and food too which... More

i really in love with this lake... so calm and peaceful. In December the weather is quite cold, so be prepared with the suitable outfit. Inevitably one of my favourite place so far!

Get a free transport card from your hotel: it'll be valid for days of arrival and departure at least: between I don't know. It does trains (local) buses, trams and the Lac Leman boats. Great fun

From every perspective this is an absolutely gorgeous lake. It was too polluted to eat the fish until a few decades ago, but now you will see Lac Leman Peche (perch) on every menu. From the northwest side of the lake in Geneva you have a view of the Alps/Momt Blac on a clear day and the largest fountain in... More

The lake is large and crystal clear. One can look deep into its clear waters. The lake includes several 1900 era side-wheeler paddle steamers that are sleek and majestic. My wife and I like to take cruise whenever we are together in Geneva.

I loved the variety of art, the views and the beautiful old buildings along the lake. The botanical gardens are also lovely - even in winter. Easy access from the city centre by bus. Enjoy

Possible to take a small ferry accross or to take a larger ferry that does a longer trip with stops at various small villages. Certainly a change from the regular city visit.

Watching the fountain was a different experience, and the difference in setting from the North and South is big. Unless you've got a lot of time you can't take it all in.

The Lake is as spectacular as the photographs depict. In all seasons, a lovely walk. In warmer weather, boat rides are very relaxing.
