We travelled to Geneva in late September. We were travelling with our 3 year old daughter. We enjoyed a great morning around the shoreline taking the 30 minute mini train ride. We then enjoyed the 55 lake cruise. Fantastic views and great value for money. There are plenty of cafe's, souvenir stores and gardens to keep a family entertained for... More

Lake Geneva is beautiful. An amazing sight day & night. Beautiful lights at night time. Easy city to walk around too!

Every day the scene changes as does the weather. It is a pleasant walk along either shore. There is always the advantage that if legs grow weary there is amp,e public transport to rescue you.

We visited this lake in all her beauty. She covers a great area with greenery and forest and houses all around. There is a waterspout the largest of its kind in Europe. the weather was a little Topsy turvey but we had a lot of fun.

Crowded, but a nice walk. Expensive area to vacation. Great place to people watch! Loved the Ferris wheel.

How can you rate a lake? It's a lake.. like there are many more lakes in Europe. It did remind me of the French riviera so that's why I gave it 3 stars... Dont' get me wrong, it's a lovely lake and there are many activities to do on the lake that are fun.

We discovered Vevey because one of my favourite books was set there (the sad and haunting Hotel du lac by Anita Brookner). We spent a few days exploring the area, the lake, the vineyards, and the cafes. It is a beautiful part of the world, elegant yet modest, and the views of the mountains are incredible.

Didn't really leave the Geneva-city area of the lake. So beautifuuuuuuul! Nightlife was disappointing along the lake though. However the huge fountain is like the biggest I've ever seen and really impressive. Beach isn't good but the boats across the lake are fun.

We had a few hours in Montreux so decided to have a relaxing 2 hour cruise around the lake with lunch and a nice cold glass of something! The first part of the cruise was not relaxing as we spent a long time trying to attract the attention of the steward to order drinks and lunch. We then didn't fancy... More
