Alternative to the downtown pricey Geneva Bain des paquis is relatively casual, features a drinking and eating place (which has cheap yet good food!). There is also swimming, a sauna/hammam, and a super nice view on the lake.

It is an interest place in the lake. There are a large public sauna, from where you can take a bath in the Lake Geneva, in one of its beach and reserved areas. Also they have a very popular restaurant from where you can relax with a nice view from the city or the lake.

The Bain de paquis gives you and idea of the alternative Geneva. In summer there is a lot of music and good food.

alternative place, but worth to visit. Best fondue in gva for winter time. Also perfect daily plate, with touch of high taste all the time. Good ambience, terasse... and good to walk with children after food. must see in gva.

A cheap place to enjoy food and the beautiful Lake Geneva shore. Perfect for a quick lunch in a hot summer.

It was like I had been transported back in time, to an era around the 1920s. Even the concourse out to the bathing area was a little bit of fun. It was a lovely hot day and having a dip in lake Geneva was just what the doctor ordered. The water was clear, cool and refreshing. We spend about two... More

This place is one of the best sightseeing place in Geneva. You've a wonderful view on the Cathedral, Jet d'eau, etc. and the restaurant is cheap and very good. It's open all year long.

For 10 CHF you can have a full breakfast with muslik, tartines, fresh juice and coffee. When the weather is nice you have a beautiful view of the lake, Geneva and the mountains. The air is so fresh and the environment beautiful. I definitely recommend it for an affordable breakfast with a great environment. There is also a beach area... More

Besides the swimming there is also a nice community dining restaurant. They usually have a "menu de jour" which is very reasonable priced. Make sure you have the Ginger Beer.

I spent 2 months living in Geneva in summer as an unpaid intern, and the Bain de Paquis was a favorite hang-out spot. Located on the other side of the shore as the Jet D'eau, it gives a great view of the jet and one side of Geneva. Some days we went we didn't have to pay, and some days... More
