Once the market square of the old city it now boasts several "terrasses" open-air cafés which get quickly filled day and evening when the weather allows. Historic buildings all around, a fountain and trees add to its charm.

This is up the hill from the retail area and part of the old town close to the cathedral. It's a small square which is also on various levels with some of the streets winding away. The buildings around are superb and take you back in time whilst the small fountain and statue just add that little extra. Even in... More

Walking around these parts of Geneva it's a must have to come around to this place. With sunshine just sit down at ARN for one of the hot chocolates. Take your time and enjoy this place and the people all ariund you. With Genevas old buildings around you a truly special place. I always come there at least once when... More

Part of the classic promenade in Geneva. When the sun shine just have a seat an take a cafe on this well-known piazza.

If you go visit the Old Town it will probably be a matter of time before you find yourself in this square. I found it a very nice place to stop for a little while and have an expresso in a chilly sunny morning. It is also a very pleasant place to take pictures.

When we went to visit this area, there were practically no people at all. We were surprised that this was all there was because it's quite a small area with small fountain areas and a few cafes and pub-style places. Probably better to visit during the summer.

We were pleasantly surprised by the picturesque little square, surrounded by cafes, specialty and antique shops. In the heart of the square, a bronze statue of a young girl, Clementine. Even though it was very cold outside, we enjoyed our hot chocolate at Cafe Clementine underneath the purple blankets that were provided. Most of the shops are closed on a... More

Lovely little old square on a hill, good for people watching. It was cold outside but blankets are provided. Lovely early Sunday morning stroll up the hill. Very quaint.

Rather than being busy with traffic this place is usually bustling with small crowds and people enjoying lunch or dinner at one of the cafés. Really nice on a warm summer evening with a glass of local white wine.
