We had a lot of fun creating chocolates and learning how chocolate is made at Stettler. Our guide Robert taught us the history and the science of making chocolate. We loved how the chocolate came out of a spout like water in a sink. We got to take home some lovely chocolate and create some fun projects, an interesting way... More

We found at 20CHF each this to be quite expensive especially since you felt you had to buy chocolate at the end but our teenage children enjoyed the experience and followed most of what was said without the guide speaking any English. Go enjoy the chocolate but dot expect to much sophostication! It is small scale and hospitable

Today I took a tour of the Stettler factory on avenue blanc. It's not huge (more like one big room), but the demonstration is very cool, and you get to sample amazing chocolate! First you go into a waiting area where they give you shoe covers, poncho, hair net, and mouth- cover. My tour group was 6 in total. Our... More

I went for a tour with my partner - for 25 Swiss Francs each we had an hour tour with demonstrations and tasters along the way. The factory was much smaller than expected but this gave us a chance to talk to the different members of the team and observe the different parts of the process. You get to dress... More

Stettler run a delightful cafe and shop, behind which they have their "laboratory". Book up in advance for a tour, which promises free tastings and a free gift at the end, at a cost of 20 francs per person. You'll get kitted up in white coat, shoe covers, hair net and face mask, and are then escorted in for a... More
