Although there is a pedestrian area you may still watch out for the trolleybuses which do not make any noise. It is a wonderful experience and think tat when it is not so crowded one can have a feeling to be back in history with the ancient clock tower, the arcades and the nice little shops underneath the arcades with... If you have the time go on the tower tour. it is a fascinating look into... More

Quiet center city, very well maintained. Bars and restaurant under old arcades. Artists atelier, interesting building all around.

The climate is pleasant, the river, clock tower and old town offers good picturesque view. The bear park is nearby.

We stayed there for 3 nights! It was really nice weekend, the city is very charming beautiful and cozy! But it's empty town there I not very much activities or many people in street! Everything is closed very early so you have to make shopping before 18h if you want to buy smth! For dinner there is very nice restaurant... More

A small and very well preserved unesco site old town is beautiful and homogeneous as most buildings are made with green stone ore painted green. Beautiful medieval fountains churches and cobbled streets Makro this a must see

Since I was in a hurry when I went there, I had not enjoyed my stay as much as I would want to. Spend more time to enjoy the place. A lot of people go there, so it would also be a great opportunity to make friends with others.

Clean friendly and pleasantly un-hurried city. Well deserves its UNESCO heritage tag. the Einstein Museum is a must . The old town is compact and easy to walk around. Switzerland can be expensive for the budget traveler, but there are a couple of supermarkets a few hundred meters east of the Bahnhof ( Co-op and Migros)
