I love Bern! The architecture around town is beautiful.. a tram runs across town.. there is a market with so much food to eat.. lots of beautiful flowers in Spring.. The place is clean.. the breeze is fresh.. I had a memorable morning run enjoying this magnificent place.

Absolutely beautiful place. Take a tour if you can just so that you can make more sense of what you see (like the differences of the street signs and the different fountains) The city's love of bears is quite charming really. We didn't find a need to use the tram or bus systems during our day trip since the weather... More

Its best to just wander. The views from the bridge are amazing. The rest of the main Street is just shops after you move away from the clock and the tower. Stay on the side streets and explore.

Take the time to wander around and get lost in this lovely neighborhood. Lots to see and do. Shops are closed on Sunday, but museums, historical sites are open.

It is a great place to visit. It has a very robust atmosphere. There are people coming in and out of store, the sound of the tram passing by. Bern also has many lovely fountains and old paintings on the sides of the buildings. The Christmas Market is also very enjoyable although there are many other better markets in Switzerland.

This proved very interesting in the week before Christmas. The parking was well signposted as we approached the centre and well organised. The Centre has lovely pale green buildings which give a unique and traditional atmosphere, and there are two magnificent Clock Towers to remind you which country you are in. Markerstrasse has an atmosphere all of its own. There... More

Bern is a beautiful city nestled on an undulating terrain. The old town has a rich history and the cobbled streets are are hosts to a good selection of shops and cafes. Offering good views and spectacular scenery Bern is a highly livable city away from the bustling financial centers.

To go for a walk in the evening at the time of Christmas is quite fairylike. The town is lighted and you can admire the shops.
