Only about a 15 minute walk from the center of Bern. The zoo is located in TierPark with walking trails surrounding it. There is a fee for admission (10 frans for adults under 64). Not a huge amount of animals but interesting ones to see. Nice to be outdoors in this spot on a pleasant day.

This zoo is open Summer: 8AM - 6:30PM, Winter: 9AM - 5PM. Berne's zoo is located along the Aare river, with many outdoor enclosures that actually integrate the river. The Zoological Garden Dählhölzli with its 200 different animal species is open to be explored 365 days a year. The unique riverside landscape is ideal for observing wild animals in their... More

This is a cute zoo, more a great park for people of Bern than really a place to visit , when we were there part of the zoo was being worked on and nobody had bothered actually putting directions out making us miss out on half the zoo. But the setting is great and on a sunny day it is... More

An excellent place to visit, you can even go around a lot of the enclosures when its closed! Its witin walking distance of the city centre or a regular bus service stops outside of the main entrance.

I'm not keen on animals but we needed something to do on a cold but dry day towards the end of winter. This turned out to be a surprisingly fun way to spend an afternoon! There are lots of animals to see both inside and outside the zoo, as well as some animals which can be viewed on bike/walking paths... More

With a short walk from the center of Berne the Tierpark Dahlholzli offers a great scenery to relax. It's not so much the animals - many of them are sleeping or hiding - but the nice location with old trees and nice walking possibilitis.

Small zoo, with some part of the park having free access. Admission wasn't that expensive and there were some nice animals, although several of them were in hibernation. Nice to do if you have some time left, but I wouldn't make it a priority.
