This it THE shoppping mile of Basel. Most stores you find anywhere in the world, like H&M, C&A, Zara, Benetton, etc....
Shopping street in Basel. Once populated with higher end stores it has now given way to a lot of ticky tacky shops. Typical Swiss rip-off prices and nothing out of the ordinary. Pretty boring.
It's just one store after another. You've seen most of them in every big city in the world. There is nothing wrong, but nothing special, either.
It can be a bit crowded on the weekends, everything closes around 5 or 6, and all the sotres are very expensive, but it is a great place to shop as it has practically any type of store you can think of.
Great atmosphere, lively pedestrian street, Lots of beautiful shops to look at, some street performers there all the time, decorated differently at different times of the year. it leads to Marktplatz and the center of old Basel. This street is the heart and soul of Basel.
in the very truely old town of Basel, a steep road in the pedestrional area, leading up to the Spalenthor. Little shops of all kinds all over, food, cloth, and and and
regular shopping street, like any other in europe. switzerland is not the best place to go shopping, and this street less. of course is busy and so on, but you will not find it amazing if you compare it to bahnhoff street in zurich
Near the top of the hill some upmarket boutiques, otherwise a collection of cheap chainstores and factory-jewelers. Sadly the historic charakter of the stately buildings has been destroyed by an obtrusive shop-architecture.
