I can recommend the botanical garden to everyone who likes flowers. The rainforest glass house brings you the feeling of standing in the middle of a rainforest f.e. in madagascar! I enjoyed each glas house, also the outer area is well planned, offering many relaxing areas.

The botanic garden is a very nice place to spend some time. Free entrance! Outdoors as well as indoors there are many plants to see and admire. I also saw some small lizards having a good time in the sun. The only thing I missed was a cafeteria, I would have liked to sit on one of the benches and... More

These gardens are located close to the Spalentor and make a lovely diversion, though small they are have a great variety of plants. In common with most botanical gardens in Europe, it is free to enter. The tropical house is lovely and comes complete with exotic birds, it just isn't great for taking photos. There is a good selection of... More

What a lovely little gem near the Spalentor Gate. Admission is free and there are interesting greenhouses and outdoor gardens. We saw in February, and some flowers were just appearing. We look forward to seeing it in April, fully a-bloom.

Visited this place whilst walking back to the hotel spalentor. This garden is just a stones throw away. Great gardens and greenhouses with a wide variety of plants/flowers/trees. And it's free

I visited here with my 11 year old. It is very close to a tram stop and the city centre. We stumbled on the garden by accident and had an interesting half an hour walking around.

Handily located right next to the Spalentor, they're easy to find. We enjoyed looking around the glasshouses. Beware that although in summer months the gardens are open until 6pm, the glasshouses except the Victoria-Haus close at 5pm. Great free attraction.

As a serious botanical garden visitor, I had high expectations for these gardens based on other travelers' reviews. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Parts of the grounds were not open. Other parts seemed to need attention. I was there on Saturday morning (it was open), but the experience was not fulfilling.
