weekends in Switzerland are difficult. So much closes. This is only open a few hours of a Saturday by the looks of it and you need to squeeze into a small lift to get to it. hard to find by stairs. I'm sure I would be fascinated if I was a toy collector.

Interesting, but not exceptional. The first contact is not really positive (no bag, no camera, no water, etc) no matter if we are with kids. No explanation on what we will see where. Dolls and teddy bears are interesting but again, no explanations provided, or at least, we didn't see the book providing some explanation until we reached the last... More

This museum reminded me of my childhood. Its a beautiful museum a must visit for people with children as they would love to spend time there. Its quite well maintained and the way european and other cultures are shown in the form of dolls takes you to another world altogether. We loved spending our time there.

For adults and children like, this 4 floors of toy and doll collection is awesome, with temporary exhibitions also (a shoe collection during this visit).

We saw this advertised on google when we searched What to do in Basel. We were thoroughly impressed. The ticket cost 7CHF and entry is free for under 16s. We started in the teddy bear exhibition. As we weren't really sure what the numbering system was for we sort of wandered around looking at the bears oohing and aahing, we... More

This was one of my wife;s favorite shops during a 3 week trip in Germany, France and Switzerland. It has an excellent selection of miniatures.

Finest bear collection we've ever seen, hands down. If you're a fan of teddy bears - you'd be missing out by skipping this place. Have to be seen to be believed. Worth every Swiss Franc, especially if you're bringing kids along. Themed decorations were done with so much thought and detail, you can tell it was done with passion for... More

A fantastic collection of bears, dolls and dolls houses, with amazing moving displays from carousels to ferris wheels. So much time and effort has went into this collection. Definitely more for adults than children as these are proper collectors items. It's only 7 francs to visit the museum, and its well worth that.
