I'm 67, midly obese, with 2 bad knees and bad feet and I climbed to the tower 2nd from the top. If I can do it, so can you! The scenery is fabulous! Just do it!

We visited the Munster Cathedral after finding all of Basel's museums closed on Mondays. There were few visitors when we were there. The Cathedral recently underwent a major restoration. Beautiful stained glass and several medieval statues graced the back of the church. The cathedral is located on one side of a large plaza and on a hillside overlooking the Rhine...

It is great to walk round the medieval centre of the cisty. The Munster is imposing and worth a look around. When I visited there were organ recitals that you could attend for no charge.
The Cathedral has just finished undergoing an extensive restoration and is beautiful both inside and out. We were not going to go inside at first but after seeing some people in one of the towers decided that we would also see if we could go up the tower. There was a cost of 4 CHF per person and this was...

Constant struggle for renovation of the outside of the Munster shows it's brilliant result! A beautiful example of a Munster and placed on a perfect view point too take a glance over Kleinbasel on the other side of the Rhein
The cathedral is impresive. Outside and inside is in very good condition, I think had recently restored, becouse it looks really good. Next to the church is beautiful patio where you can see beautiful view on the river and the second side of Basel.
The statuary on this cathedral features happy faces, which is kind of fun. Replicas of the exterior statues are placed all around the sanctuary, so that you can see them up close. The red sandstone so typical of Basel makes this building look warm and beautiful. Be sure to visit the cloisters and the Platz behind the cathedral for gorgeous...
