We enjoyed spending some time in the church and admiring it from outside. It was nice and cool inside, which made it a welcome break from the hot day outside.

You can pay 5CHF per person to climb the towers and to be rewarded with an amazing view over Basel and the Rhine makes it well worth it.

The munster dominates Basel skyline. Its cloister is also very nice with some sculptures. Recommend to cross the Rhine by energy-free shuttle boat, just walking down the river bank behind the church to the pier.

This Church had a very beautiful interior. The exterior had two very large spires. A very inspiring visit.

It's tiring but the pictures from high above the city certainly worth it. You can climb all the way up to get close-up of gargoyles.

The Munster architecture is absolutely beautiful. There is no cost for entering the Cathedral however for 5 swiss francs you can go to the into the heart of the Cathedral, up into roof top areas giving you fantastic views of the Rhine and Basel.....well worth the money. Great value & would highly recommend.

Beautiful cathedral of red limestone. Few tourists and located on a charming old street of old town Basel. Spectacular views of the Rhine from behind. Enjoyed sitting in a cafe across the street and just gazing at the building ... Thinking of the generations past that filed through the doors. The crypt below is worth the extra time, but chose... At first Catholic, but then turned into protestant by the Reform, the Cathedral is very beautiful and from it you have a very nice view of the city and the Rhein.

Interesting small Minster. Don't miss walking round the side through the cloister to the open area at the rear overlooking the Rhine - the Pfalz. And the Portal with sculptures on the north side. Go downstairs inside the church to see the medieval wall and ceiling paintings.
