Awesome adventurous climb up the tower

It's CHF 5 to get up the tower. It's quite a climb but fun and after every couple of stairs you have nice views to take lots of pictures of. At first we got to the big bell and... read more

It's CHF 5 to get up the tower. It's quite a climb but fun and after every couple of stairs you have nice views to take lots of pictures of. At first we got to the big bell and thought that was it, then 2 people came in through a door. That's when the adventure began =P After the door... More

Church, views and grounds were lovely. On the Rhine behind the church, check out the ferry taking passengers from one side to the other. What a hoot.

We didn't get inside. But view from the area near cathedral is the best. Also cathedral itself is a unique and must see building. Beneath this area, i think there can be some boats to pass across the river but the day we went stream was to high, there wasn't any..

This is a beautiful, old cathedral. As you walk around it, outside, you can see how ornate it is--lots of carvings, etc. Inside you can see the beautiful stained glass windows as well as some statues, stonework, etc. When you leave the church, be sure to walk around it. On the side that does not face the market square, you... More

One of the lovely places to visit if you are in Basel. The Basel Munster is a very traditional church, beautiful landmark in the middle of the city.

I visited this beautiful city last December because of its famous " mercatine" before Christmas. You can find lot of things like Christmas decors, ideas for gifts and different kinds of biscuits to be given Home or presents for Everyone when you get back Home. Its quite cola during December but We still enjoyed our stay in Basel. Its really... More

Cathedral is quite impressive but not really too big. At the same time - on back side of it there is terrace with view on Rhine. On one of the corners of terrase - there are stairs which allows to walk down to small and fancy ferry, to get to other side of Rhine

What a beautiful cathedral. We loved the beautiful Easter decorations - blue sheep, spring flowers and flowering trees.

Didn't actually go into the munster itself but did go to the terrace at the back with the magnificent views over Basel and the Rhein. I did visit the cloisters and saw Benoulli's memorial stone and some interesting wrought iron work. At present they are also home to the blue sheep that are touring Europe as a friendship project and... More

Loved seeing this beautiful building, situated in a very peaceful courtyard, and set just on the bank of the Rhine. The blue sheep on display were fun! Saw lots of school groups enjoying that! Climbed to the very top of the tower, but luckily I'm small otherwise could have been a bit of a struggle! And no one warns you... More
