Small but good

A small botanic garden in comparison to many, but still interesting to visit. Not very crowded typically. Easy to get to.

This park can be busy during week-ends (for the restaurants) There are plenty of different plants from spring time during summer to autumn. Possible to walk along a small river, artificial lakes with fishes and birds. During summer there is a merry-go-around. Big green for children to play. Two restaurant, one near the main entrance with a play ground for... More

This is a lovely little park with tropical greenhouses. We especially liked the colorful birds that aren't afraid of humans.

These gardens are a little out of town although easily reachable by car or tram and definitely worth a visit. There is a wealth of plants laid out in a sympathetic manner and a wonderful iris garden modelled on a Japanese theme. Access is free. In the gardens there is also a carriage museum and easy access to a medicinal... More

These gardens are well worth a visit and make for a pleasant morning stroll around. There are lots of plants to see as well as some quaint old buildings. It's great that it's free to access.

This larger garden is located only a few blocks from St. Jakobs Park. When I visited there were still plants and flowers blooming and the staff were busy clearing weeds and mowing much of the expansive grounds. There are many trails located here in the park and there are several levels as well. The upper level seems to mostly be... More

Beautiful and relaxing gardens, well landscaped with interesting plants, yet still managing to cater for the younger age group with play equipment, and areas to run about. Large ponds, the biggest wooden dinosaur I have ever seen, a wonderful 19 cent. carousel, plenty of seating around when you need a rest,, a restaurant, the list goes on. Highly recommended and... A lovely and quiet garden in the middle of Basel. Special rare plants from all over the world. In the big greenhouse there are rare birds and reptiles also.

This is a gem that is well worth finding. There are lots of parts and a whole day can easily be spent here _ wonderful irises, rose, landscaped gardens and children's areas. Sophisticated tea gardens, old mills, herb gardens and peace and quiet.
