A lovely and quiet garden in the middle of Basel. Special rare plants from all over the world. In the big greenhouse there are rare birds and reptiles also.

This is a gem that is well worth finding. There are lots of parts and a whole day can easily be spent here _ wonderful irises, rose, landscaped gardens and children's areas. Sophisticated tea gardens, old mills, herb gardens and peace and quiet.

Have been there many times and found it is a very nice place and has a restaurant as well or we can take our own picnic with. Lovely to walk around.

This is a great place to spend a morning or an afternoon. Although it is popular it feels quite tranquil. There is a childrens play area, ponds with decking, paths, gardens and greens. There is so much to see.

We had a nice hour or so wandering around the gardens and greenhouses. There were lovely little birds in the hothouses flying around and singing it was quite charming, a real must for the plant enthusiast! It was also free which was a nice suprise.

there is an artificial lake not for swimming, a mini golf and a very nice playground with an okay Migros restaurant. Definitely a place to go with kids.

A must when the Iris and Pfingstrosen are blooming. Lovely area for a quiet walk and feeding the many small birds.

Playground, gardens, wild life, restaurant and cafe. Plenty to do on a nice summers day, lots of open space for children to run and play. Traditional carousel, ice cream.... water fountain and lots of water fowl.....

While I would not think that most people would fid it worthwhile to go too far out of their way to find this garden (and it is slightly off of the beaten tourist path) if you happen to be close by it is definitely worth a detour to check it out. As others have noted, however, compared to the Botanical... More
