An amazing treasure full of of plant species and a great spot for macro photography! Lots of gardens and gazebos.

Arguably calling these gardens average is being more than fair to them. My wife is a gardener, and wherever we travel, if the City has a Botanic Garden, we go to it. This one was disappointing: it's collection wasn't particularly broad and its design was pedestrian.
Nice park for a break of hectic city life. Has a botanic garden, free admittance. If you get hungry or just want a coffee, there is a restaurant and a cafe on the pitch. Kids can freely run around and play. Recommendable.
In comparison to other city's botanical gardens, it is tiny but in view of the limited amount of green space that Basel has, it is a welcome change. It is also immaculate and quite lovely with the restaurant there.
To be honest, it wasn't what I was expecting! It was more like a park than a Botanical Garden, but I suppose that I visited at the wrong time of year to appreciate the plants. There were a lot of families visiting, and as it was a sunny day, it was very busy. Easy to get there by tram.
Very near to the city, grat to spend time with all the family!
Multiple things to see and do. Crazy golf, restaurant and cafe, pond and ducks. Jump off the tram 10 and walk around the gardens and park.
