Quiches and cakes - yummy!!

We arrived that the kitchen was about to close, but they quickly found an alternative that made me and my kids happy - relaxed, friendly atmosphere with home made food

A great visit with our three children (6/8/12 years) lots of hands on activities including papermaking, embossing, printing and marbleizing. Interesting info from invention of alphabet to modern computing. Signage in German, French and English. People working there spoke English.

very interesting if you are in the area. Unless it is something you are really interested in then have it as a can see because you are strolling through this part of Basel

handmade paper, wax seals, was all fun for my friend, her daughter and my own self (once more). Loved also the adjacent Café, although on the pricey side. They have very nice cakes and service is friendly.

This is a feast of information and hands on experiences for those interested in the history of paper making, book binding and writing....really, anything to do with items made from paper. Watch paper being made. And for children and adults alike, you can make your own sheets of paper, or make some screen printing art. I would suggest at least... More

I loved this place! It was definitely worth the 15 chf admission for an adult ticket. Prices are 13 chf for students/seniors, 9 chf for kids 6-16, and free for younger kids. I easily spent 3 hours here and would have stayed longer if I could have, especially since I realized right as I was leaving that I'd missed entire... More

On the south shore of the Rhine River lies a novel little museum tucked away behind a restaurant and a crazy little path. You can find the place just by listening for the gentle grinding and splashing of the paddle wheel churning away. The museum cost 38 francs for our family of four (about $38US). It consists of four floors,... More

Great place to visit! Made paper by screening pulp the old fashion way. Could also print using type setting, and made our own marbled paper by hand. Great displays in an old working paper mill where they still do everything by hand.

This is an unusual museum because it is still a working paper mill and printshop. We made paper by hand - as an overgrown kid I had to wait my turn behind the real children but it was definitely worth it. There were demonstrations throughout the 4 floors.
