Porta Romana is is the sole survivor of the six 13th-century towers that guarded the entrances into the city. A small admission fee gains entrance to the museum of antique Umbrian ceramics housed within the tower. This interesting museum is housed in the tower of Porta Romana on the west side of the city. It contains a fascinating collection of ceramics, arms and other miscellaneous items, also providing an opportunity to see the inside of a gatehouse. Well worth the effort, furthermore entrance is free.
