We placed a custom order with Roberto on our visit to Sienna and are extremely pleased with our pottery. Roberto was always kind, helpful and responsive to my email inquiries, and he communicated extremely well in English. We received a beautiful platter that was exactly what we wanted! We will definitely visit Gift Shop 5 on our next trip to... More

I ordered a large ceramic platter to be custom made and shipped to the US. It arrived damaged. Gift Shop #5 used MailBoxes Etc to ship. MBE used Fed Ex. FedEx denied the claim because there was no external damage to the box. Gift Shop #5 and MBE won't even respond to my emails. I paid over $400 for the... More

Selected a few small items and a large bowl during our visit in late October 2013. And had shipped. Definitely a bit nervous with a large purchase yet did not want to handle purchases for our return flight to the US. Items arrived in less than a month without damage due to well packaging. Worth the money as to its... More

We visited Tuscany in May, 2013 and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in Siena. We stopped by Gift Shop #5 and ordered an oval platter, discussed the specific design we wanted on the plate, and paid the bill. When I got home, the charge appeared on my Amex card for $660.50. I'm still waiting for the platter and it's been 120... More

Last October my husband and I were in Siena and came acrossd Gift Shop#5. We had made several trips to Italy in the past and had decided that this year being our 30th Anniversary that we would purchase a set of Italian dishes. Gift Shop#5 had a large selection of dishes and they were reasonably priced. As it was a... More

The shop is a must visit if you are looking for interesting ceramic art. I purchase the ceramic head from Roberto Biancolini who was a pleasure to deal with. Roberto made all the transportation arrangement and provided the necesssary follow up to ensure the piece was delivered to my home in Toronto Canada.

My husband and i ordered a complete set of dishes from Gift shop number 5 in Siena. They were extremely helpful. They told us up front about the cost of shipping. They let us know the dishes would be made specifically for us. They let us have a special detail on the back of each piece. The dishes took 10... More

We had a very good experience with Gift Shop #5. We chose one extra large platter and loved another but wanted it in a smaller size. When I told the shop owner of the problem, he inspected the piece, determined the artist and told us they could make it in the size we wanted but it would take at least... More

Items in Gift Shop #5 are very expensive. I purchased a large bowl on the premise that shipping was $50.00 to the U.S.A. and that it would arrive in one piece, however, shipping was $268.00 U.S. plus the Duty fee of $34.00 U.S. and the item was broken in several areas due to poor packaging by MBE, Siena, Italy. My... More

The shop owner lied about the shipping cost and the shipping time. I was told the shipping time would be 2 weeks and it took 2 months. I was also told the shipping charges were to be $20, instead they were $140 (which was more than double the cost of the 2 items). Carry you purchases home.
