We started our day with Savor Sienna, a wonderful walking tour of local butcher, coffee shop, gelato, and bakery where we got tastings at each and then more back in our classroom. Our tour guide, Sofia, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. We then took a 2 hour walk exploring Sienna on our own then went back to the Tuscan Wine... More

We did both the "Savor Sienna" and the "Tuscan Wine" lessons in one day. The 2 are perfectly complimentary of one another and both are highly recommended. Savor Sienna involves a delicious lesson about the history and culture of Tuscan food (with yummy tastings) followed by visits to a butcher, a coffee shop and a gelato shop. Tuscan Wines involves... Sophia was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the delicious food of Siena and Tuscany. The tour gives you cheese, bread, cold cuts, wine, truffles, balsamic vinegar, local salt, olive oil, caffe, cookies, panforte, chocolate, and a charming insider view. Wonderful.

My husband and I attended the Siena food tour during our 5 day stay in town. Sofia was our guide and was extremely knowledgable about local foods, wine and the history of the region. She was gracious and helpful in recommending activities and local shops/restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area. I... More

My wife and I found the experience to be quite informative. Sarah did a great job provide insight into the different types of wines produced throughout the region, what to look out for in terms of taste, color and smell, as well as some interesting history. We loved the story about the black rooster!

Our professori, Sarah, was outstanding, giving us a well rounded review of Tuscan wines. We particularly enjoyed the legend of the Black Rooster. The wines served were well thought out and illustrated the points of the lecture very nicely.

This tour was the highlight of our visit to Tuscany...if not Italy. After days of churches and museums...it was a treat to taste our tour. The meats, cheeses and sweets were just what was called for on a beautiful day trip to Siena from Florence. The school was easy to find...Sarah was FANTASTIC (not only about the fabulous foods of... We had a fabulous time in a all group setting. We learned a ton and appreciated the generous pours of some really great regional wine.

This tour was a spur-of-the-moment decision that I made as the designated 'tour guide' for the trip my girlfriend and I took to Italy in mid-October of 2014. I stumbled across a mention of the Tuscan Wine School in, where else, a Rick Steves' guidebook, and decided if it made the book, it must be good. We were both incredibly... More

Sarah's walking foodie tour of Siena ("Taste of Siena") taught us how to be discriminating when choosing local foods and wine, including gelato and espresso. Not only was she a delightful, engaging and enthusiastic guide, but we learned valuable skills that helped us to enjoy the rest of our trip to its fullest. We became determined from then forward to... More
