A group of us were spending a week in Siena and it had been recommended that we take a food tour with TWS. We spent an exhilarating Monday morning three weeks ago being introduced to the wonderful delights that Siena has to offer in the food and wine world. Our hostess, Sofia, welcomed us in her perfect English and took... More

My experience was much like that of others who recommend TWS; since I was traveling alone, the Savor Siena afternoon also provided a pleasant social experience in a small group (ranging in age from about 22-65) all focused on sampling Siena's goodies. The shop (just around the corner from the Duomo), where the tour begins with a glass of prosecco... More

My fiance and I had an excellent time at the Tuscan Wine School. The course was professional with PowerPoint slides, handouts, and best of all: WINE! I gained a working knowledge not only of Tuscany wines, but wine in general that I've applied on subsequent trips to France, Spain, etc. A must do while in Siena!

Tuscan Wine School was our favorite thing we did in Siena. Sofia who taught out class is super knowledgable and fun and you can tell she really loves what she does. She presents the wines in a way that appeals to visitors with all knowledge levels about the wine. Everyone can leave here wanting to learn more and drink more... More

We attended the Savor Siena walking tour last month. The leader, Sofia, was so charming and knowledgable about Tuscan cuisine. We enjoyed everything we ate and drank - charcuterie, wine, cantucci, truffles, gelato....I learned so much and now find myself obsessively reading every olive oil and balsamic vinegar label I see to determine authenticity. My only complaint is that the... More

I went on the Tuscan Wine School's Savor Siena walking tour this spring, sampling delicious local products. Our hostess was delightful and so knowledgeable. It was one of the highlights of my stay in Siena, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Cheeses, wines, meats, olive oil, gelato, baked goods....what's not to love? My only regret is not... More

We were so pleased that we found the Tuscan Wine School and booked the Savor Siena tour, it was a fantastic experience and added to our visit to Siena. Sofia was a great host, very welcoming and knowledgeable and to start with she explained some history of the area in relation to the food and wine of the area. We... More

I won't repeat what everyone has already contributed in their reviews, but agree that this is a very nice experience, especially good for a first day day in Siena. We did both classes and enjoyed them a great deal. Sophia is engaging and knowledgable!

A foodie day it was. Good wine, cheese, biscuits, chocolate, gelato, meats, oils and bread...what more could anyone want? Our guide, not a native Sienaese but definitely someone whos knows her way around especially when it came to the food and wine. We had such a wonderful experience going from one store to another trying out the different specialities of... More

We loved our experience with the Tuscan Wine School. My best friend and I signed up for the "Savor Siena" experience and it was really informative, fun, and tasty! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wine and food process in Italy, and answered all of our questions. Unfortunately she could not share anecdotes about Siena with us due to... More
