4 euros to see such fantastic art in its original setting is a great deal. Also possible to combine with the museum of arte sacra but although this museum has a few good pieces it is in general not worth entering unless you are a super art lover. no photos allowed inside the church unless you are willing to get... In Italy we often find that churches which are plain from the outside are quite stunning inside and this is no exception. It is well worth climbing the many steps up to the entrance, the fee is very reasonable and do take advantage of the audio guide on offer, its well worth it. The magnificent frescoes appeared in the film... More

This church is very unique, boasting an entire nave of 14th century frescoes. Despite some damages, almost every frame is visible with one side boasting old testament stories and the other side stories of Jesus. The audioguide is very good and detailed, providing historical and biblical context. As a plus, it's included in a very reasonable ticket price (€4). Please... More

Don't be fooled by the plain exterior-inside is extraordinary. Never seen frescos such as these-the walls are covered in wonderfully simple pictures.

It is the rare example of early Italian renesaince with this 3-naval church covered in frescos from XV century (mostly) showing this particular, highly interesting period in Italiuan painting. With good audio guides in few languages (included in the ticket price) you will be able to see transformation from medieval art to renesaince one and have a look at pictures... More

Get out your guide book so you are prepared for the wonderful frescoes in the church. This is a smaller church. One side of the church walls are from the Old Testament, one side is New Testament. My teen was very interested in the frescoes (some have been damaged). We truly enjoyed this visit.

The cathedral has along its walls a series of painting that retells passages of the Old and New Testaments. More than that, it represents a passage itself, a stop in the path that Popes and Kings have taken to cross throughout Medieval Europe. Really interesting to listen for the explanations on the Audio Guide.

The lighting could have been better - it's actually quite difficult to get an impression of several of the chapels. The chapel for St Fina was well lit though. But the main reason to visit is the frescos on both of the long walls. They're a bit like pictures from old sundayschool books with scenes you'll recognize from the bible.... More

This is a lovely church and the frescoes are amazing and so detailed. The ceiling is interesting too. Such a shame it is forbidden to take photos or film. I can fully understand about flash but otherwise not. Or why not charge for the privelige. I would have been happy with that.
