You will need tickets to enter - get them the same time as your Tower tickets. Beautiful cathedral and many lovely sites to see inside. Unfortunately tourists talking loudly, children running and screaming mostly ruin what should be a quiet contemplative visit. Please people - this is a place of worship have some respect!!

Very impressive, a nice and cool break on a hot summer day in Pisa. If you’re there to see the leaning tower, this is a great "bonus". Make sure to get tickets right away (free) also if you don’t want to buy tickets for the leaning tower. To avoid too many visitors at the same time, tickets are issued for... More

This is a very nice cathedral with great art anywhere you see. You will not need to pay for an entrance…it is free but you will need to get a ticket (free) at the office. If you have a ticket for the Leaning tower then that will be good to get to the cathedral as well. Look at the amazing... More

I have seen quite a lot of cathedrals and this is one of the most ornately decorated I have seen! The ceiling is in an exquisite gold design and the walls of the nave are covered, not with stained glass windows, but with large classical pieces of art! The exterior also has a number of lovely colourful pieces of design.... More

You have to marvel at the excellence of the building, both inside and out. The main alter area is just outstanding. Worth a visit.

Ah the Piazza dei Miracoli.... such a lovely place! This church reminds me of Santa Croce in Florence - it's equally beautiful. Again, I must use the word 'ornate' to describe the architecture. I don't know what I was expecting when I walked into the church, but it exceeded my expectations. This is truly a beautiful church that's worth a... More

Went up the leaning tower of Pisa this Saturday and got access to the Cathedral as well but I believe its free anyway however you need to get a ticket from the booth. We caught a train from Florence to Pisa (remember to validate ticket or get charged a fine like we did!!) then made the lovely walk from the... More
