You have to go to the Piazza and it is a beautiful sight. Sitting on the grass overlooking the area is enjoyable. We went into the Baptistery but there is little to see. You do get a good view from the top floor though. I would recommend the Duomo (only €2 or free as part of mass) and the Museo... More

The Piazza hosts 3 attractions - the baptistry, the duomo proper and of course the tower.
