We were on our way from Florence to Cinque Terre and hopped off the train to see the Tower of Pisa. The town is crowded and the cite is rather touristy but there is a lot of great history. I'm glad I saw it but you don't have to plan a whole day there.

The leaning tower was a bucket-list item, and the grounds that it's on are beautiful and well worth the trip. We didn't see much else around Pisa that was too interesting, although admittedly we didn't have enough time to do much more than drive to the tower and return. It cost 18 euros to go up the tower, which we... More

We didn't expected too much from the Tower of Pisa because we had friends that went there before and were a little dissapointed. We were in Cinque Terre (Italy) heading to Venice so we decided to stop for 30 minutes. We took a few pictures. The tower is nice. The area is very touristic. It was worth the little detour.

Obviously nice to see and photograph from far. Even better to visit the interior and climb up its one hundred+ steps to enjoy an amazing view, discover its story and experience a bit of vertigo while going up the stairs (they tend to lean on one side, like the walls! so much fun!)

Visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa during our cruise on the Regal Princess in August. Pictures do not do it justice. Seeing it for the first time in person was a WOW moment . It was a beautiful sunny day and the sun glistened off of the white marble. Truly amazing and absolutely worth seeing.

A great place to visit ,and if it's possible try to find the man on the rickshaw type bike that takes you on his tour ,he is the most passionate and knowledgable person that I think I've ever met ! The resteraunts are pricey as you'd expect in a major tourist destination but on our three day stay we never... More

We took the train from Florence to Pisa which took about one hour. From the train station, the tower is another 40 minute walk. The leaning tower with its dramatic tilt was truly ascinating. Although much shorter than what i had imagined. Tons of tourists sorround the tower and the nearby open air market. Be sure to take pictures of... More

I think if you have never seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa before (as was the case for my group), it was worth seeing. It was interesting to learn some history as well. The admission to climb the tower was okay - the views were very pretty from the top, but after taking just a few pictures, they made us... More

When somebody is doing the leaning tower pose, give them a high five :-) And please came up with something more original than what everybody is doing :-)

Much better than expected - better than the pictures you see! Lovely grounds with lovely historical buildings and the tower is very attractive. Pisa has lovely little gift shops and cafe bars.
