The decoration of the house was very interesting and the costume from one of Puccini's operas on display was stunning. The staff there were friendly and helpful, giving a mini guided tour of a room not normally possible to see.

It was lovely to visit this small home and birthplace of Puccini. Looking at the original manuscript, one wonders how anyone can read his handwriting. If would be nice to have more information about his life.

Small and compact but full of interesting displays about Puccini and his life. Well worth a visit - but your ticket over the road first!

This is a lovely small museum obviously dedicated to Puccini and his time around Lucca. It is situated in an apartment on the second floor so there are a few stairs but not too many. This is the actual place where Puccini was born. There are original manuscripts, letters, postcards, musical scores, photos, costumes and the piano on which Puccini... More

The place took us ages to find, on a very hot day and once or twice we nearly gave up. We are so glad we persevered, this has to be one of the most intimate and finest museum we have ever visited. We are not opera fans, but saw this as a must do, given we were in Lucca. It... More

What a superb guide, he made Puccini come alive even for a philistine like me. He was most interesting and articulate.

Very interesting little museum in the house where Puccini was born. There are lots of photos, letters, scores and personal items. It is a self guided tour but there are really good descriptions and notes on every item on display. We became so interested after our visit that we then wanted to see the other Puccini museum in his lake... More

This little museum is well worth a visit to see the artefacts of Puccini. It is well worth finding it in the maze of little streets.
