We booked a guided tour on bikes. Nice bikes and a wonderful guide. We toured the city, including much of the wall, and then headed out into the country. After a pretty long ride we reached an organic farm where we toured the farm and their winery. Then we had a wonderful lunch of local organic food and their wines.... More

We rented the city bikes for the day. The bikes were well maintained. The owner was very helpful and provided excellent friendly services. We also found out that they have many day tours through their informative website.

We had a group of 17. We were fitted with bikes, given water bottles and started on the wall in Lucca, and then onward to Pisa. We stopped for a break (brunch?) along the way. We had all different rider capabilities and none of us were disappointed. We had a guide in front and one in the rear to make... More

We took the tour from Lucca to Pisa today and it was fantastic. The track is very flat but most importantly very scenic. My father in-law is in his early 70's and reasonably fit and managed to complete the tour and enjoy a few beers afterwords. If you like beautiful scenery whilst getting exercise this is the perfect tour.

This isn't a tough ride if you do some normal physical exercise. There are some parts with some good size hills and some gravel pathways to be careful of. The longer part of the ride is getting to the winery, so after you wine taste it's an easy ride back. The winery is delightful! We loved the wines and bought... More

We arranged for a group ride to Pisa from Lucca. We had two guides (Andrea and Matteo) lead us there (one in front, the other in back). We had a relaxing, peaceful ride along the river, stopped for lunch in a beautiful little town, and had all the details handled very well. We loved the trip and it was handled... More

In July 2015, my wife and I returned to Italy for our 20th wedding anniversary. After attending the Elton John concert in the Piazza Napoleone in Lucca, we stayed overnight and the following day decided to do a quick tour of this beautiful walled city before heading back to Venice. It was a very hot day and walking was becoming... More

We rode from Lucca to Pisa on hybrid bikes that were not in the best condition. I would highly recommend upgrading to a mountain bike if you go on that route for a more comfortable, enjoyable ride.

We were staying in Viareggio and had hoped to do some road riding while in Tuscany but nowhere would rent out a road bike for just one or two days. The minimum was 3 but we didn't want to do that as we had nowhere to secure the bikes in our hotel and it was not the main point of... More
