I accompanied a friend to this exhibit and absolutely enjoyed it. I hadn't heard of this photographer before, but his work is fascinating. Plus, with the tickets, we got to go to the lower level where there was an excavation and paintings of the Lucchesi wall. This was my favorite art that I've seen in Lucca yet.

It's really small - but if the artists showing is someone you enjoy, it's worth a visite. It's will not take very long, but there is a nice cafe on the ground floor.

Small, cold, not communicative, not suitable to Lucca. Possibly better placed in Milan...Everything is very modern fashionable, trendy. But definitely not in the style of the city hosting the "museum". Picture exhibition definitely poor.

Think Pisa has it all,...try Lucca just a few kms north. Easily a world class place. Quiet, sleepy provincial town..that delivers ancient sights and rustic charm.

This is a beautiful old building which displays contemporary art suberbly. I recently saw the Guggenheim exhibition there, which contained a great choice of exhibits. It also had good in depth information about each piece. There is also a pleasant refreshment area and good bookshop.

The exhibit at the time was about Peggy Guggenheim, so it provided new insights and photos of her, as well as a small bit of her collection. There's also a cafe, shop, and children's art classes.
