We noticed about this excellent cultural initiative when we were at San Giovanni museum. We decided to attend and we enjoyed great concert in the San Giovanni oratorio. Great performance by soprano Sonia Bellugi, Baritono Michele Pierleoni and pianist Diego Fiorini. The repertoire was demanding , specially the Mozart arias. The singers complement very well one each other. The pianist... More

We went all 3 evenings of our stay in lucca. Each evening was different in terms of singers and arias/songs but what they all had in common was the enthusiasm and talent of the young performers and the wonderful acoustics of the San Giovanni Church. Amazing value and such a lovely start to an evening. I really don't understand why... More

I attended the performance this evening : PUCCINI E LA CANZONE POPOLARE NAPOLETANA with Tenor ANGELO FIORE, Bass-Baritone LORENZO NINCHERI and Pianist DIEGO FIORINI. I have never attended an opera before, and never thought I would, but after hearing these three guys give it their all - I felt it in my heart, soul and bones! They were all exceptional... More

Wonderful evening performance by a Soprano Baritone & Pianist. Small but perfect venue, look forward to our next visit to Lucca.

A really lovely experience for the family, it was easy to get tickets, popular with visitors to Lucca. Professional opera singers were outstanding as was Diego on the piano. Our 13 and 7 year old daughters loved it too. Evocative!

The permanent series of Puccini concerts are well worth attending - available every night with a varied programme and first class singers and performers

A lovely setting - very initimate for a stunning 5 star performance by 2 tenors and a pianist. Definitely to be recommended other than one thing - they allow people to take photographs throughout the performance with no intervention. This spoils the very special occasion to listen to Puccini in his place of birth. I suggest that the attendants make... More

Knowing nothing about Puccini or opera I decided to buy a ticket on principle! I thoroughly enjoyed the introduction, the programme and the venue. The concert moved between a male singer then female singer and then a pianist so the variety suited me. The concert was a little over an hour and with a 7pm start easily fitted into our... More

The family holiday in Lucca was enhanced by attendance at numerous performances in the lovely little oratorio where the concerts are held in winter. The young performers are remarkably talented, responsive to the audience, and seem always intent on providing a lovely musical experience. These performances are a highlight of our Lucca visits.
