Aquario is small, but there is not much more attractions for children, so a must see when in Livorno.

Don't expect a big acquarium, not evn for Italy. But is is a little nice one, worth a visit expecially if you have children, and it is on the Terrazza Mascagni, which is a must in Livorno.

I decided to title this review "team effort" because all aquariums in Italy are team players. For example Genova,Follonica,Sardegna, etc etc....I always keep in mind that places like this help educate humans that everything we do has an effect on things we don't see directly. So, yes it is an average aquarium, but the awareness that they are trying to create... More

I was probably waiting too much from Acquario di Livorno and I was a little bit dissapointed. But anyway this aquarium is worth for visiting, absolutely.

We love going to aquariums, so maybe we are just spoiled? But this one was not much, still it was not bad. It was average, as simple as that. Average selection of species and no fancy display as per my opinion. But if you are in Livorno, a dirty town in the shade of many historic Tuscan towns, it may... More

Woke up one Sunday morning during our holiday in Tuscany to pouring rain. Question was how to keep kids occupied. Decided to try the aquarium. Good decision. Kids loved it. Good selection of fish and exhibit labelling is good. Did sometimes struggle to get close to the tanks and this at a time before it got unbelievably busy (Sunday afternoons... More

Great selection of local and tropical fish arranged in an educational and captivating manner. No giant displays, but there is a petting tank and the fish are well-kept. It's part of a consortium of acquaria that guarantee quality research and keeping. Bonus were the seahorses cuddling! Our visit took about 45 minutes; add extra time to see the special exhibition,...
