This castle was built as a fortress in 1184 by the Pazzi family, arch enemies of the Medicis. It you're a history buff you might want to visit it for that reason. As for me, I was there for the food, wine and I-dined-in-a-castle experience. The food and wine were indeed wonderful although our tour guide was a tad snobby.... More

We booked this tour while on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise. Definitely one of our better tours! The guide at the Castello del Trebbio was a cousin to the current owners and completely charming and knowledgeable about the history. After the tour, we sampled the wines, and had some fabulous appetizers. Yum! A very well done tasting. We also purchased... More

We can recommend Castello Del Trebbio without reservation to anyone who wants a fabulous experience in Tuscany and has a car. We stayed in a restored farmhouse with a view of the vineyards and olive groves and a very short walk to the castle and restaurant. Roberto was a gracious host and concierge. He went above and beyond to make... More

When we decided to get married in Italy we found this amazing Castello del Tribbio through our norwegian wedding planner. From our arrival everything has exceeded our expectations. Alberto and his staff made sure that everything was well organized and the service they provide is beyond what you can expect. At all times they were solution-oriented and made sure that... More

Our tour stopped here for wine tasting and dinner. The young lady who did the tour was a real character, very jolly., also she took us around the castle as the owners live there. The family have had connections to it since 1184. It has accommodation if you want to stay for a holiday. There is lovely countryside all around.... More

My wife and I booked a Tour of Italy trip. We started out with a tour of the castle and ended with a light lunch. We ate some one of the native dishes and had wonderful wine, olive oil, and various foods. While we were eating the Manager gave us history of the castle and how the different wines and... More

My husband and I came upon Castello del Trebbio by accident when we were looking for a venue for our wedding and we couldn't have been more fortunate. The castle is absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained and with a fascinating history and jaw-dropping views. As a wedding venue, though, it really was amazing, and everyone there was extremely helpful, friendly and... More

I don't know why it has taken me this long to write a review about Castello Del Trebbio, but here I am. My husband and I visited the Castle during our honeymoon in January 2013 by recommendation from our good friend, Franco Fonati. He owns David 2 Leather Company in Florence, and he owns a villa just a mile from... More

We came there thtrough a cruise tour. We really enjoyed the visit. It was worth it. The castle is very old and the product we tasted were very good (wine, olive oil and a few other goods). The guide gave us some information about the conspiracy that sttod there. The guide also gave us a short course of wine tasting... More

Hola all, We visited as part of a shore excursion (from a cruise) and can highly recommend visiting as it was a highlight of our entire trip. We were greater with a small tour of the Castle and a history of its inhabitants. At the end we entered the tasting room where we sampled 4 wines, their yummy olive oil... More
