A piece of Florentine history and one of the first American bars of its kind in Italy. Evenings dedicated to karaoke, live music and the dj-set, not to mention the excellent choice of beers and the delicious cocktails. The steakhouse is open until late at night and also offers many Tuscan specialities. International live sport, special events… all included in the free entrance. A must for anyone who wants to get to know Florence.

We came here with our Contiki group and were joined by another Contiki group making this place go off on a Tuesday night! It was a lot of fun, there were two parts of the bar - one part had normal music playing and the other part had the karaoke where everyone started to dance. The drinks weren't super cheap... More

Good service, good food, reminded me of a pub from my college days. The DJ was pretty good. I was tempted to go show those young 'uns how to cut a rug. Red Garter was started by an American,it definitely has an American feel to it.

Loved this place! The vibe was so good, full of young Aussie travellers like myself! The karaoke was hilarious and so much fun. Everyone was getting involved, singing and dancing! It was pretty crowded and claustrophobic because the dance floor was quite small but it was quite good. The drinks were pretty good too, the only bad thing I have... More

My wife discovered this festive spot in her search for American Football. Francesco and the staff provide a warm and friendly welcome and encourage you to ask to watch just about any match (in just about any sport) to enjoy while you savor one of the best burgers in Florence. If you need that sports fix and are looking for... More

We were looking for something other than Italian and found "The Red Garter." It is a good spot to get a great burger and fries at a reasonable price. So if pasta is getting a bit old, stop in for a taste of home.

As a lover of fun & happy times, it is with great confidence that I can recommend the red garter for a great night out in Florence. The Karaoke is off the hook, with Paulo who plays the Guitar like nobody else playing along to your karaoke song!! he'll even join in with you if you are feeling a duet... More

I have gone to this bar multiple times during two visits to Florence. I went with my two other girlfriends in our 20's. They play great music. If you're looking for a great night out to let loose with friends, this is the place. In the front it's a club like atmosphere with everyone drinking and dancing. In the back... More

After almost a month of travelling Europe me and my friends were craving some English pub grub and we were so pleased when we came across Red Garter. Although not strictly pub grub, and the place looks rather small and unimpressive at first, it's actually a great place to be with friends. The food is delicious and great value for... More

Great place to meet fellow tourists. Popular with contiki and busabout groups etc, the place is full of tourists. Free entry which is a plus for backpackers! Karaoke is fun in the back room, and dj playing good tunes in the front room. Gets busy inside, but we never had to queue to get in which was good.
