After schlepping all over Florence looking for purses, I finally found Roberta on Borgo San Jacopo in the Oltrano just over the Ponte Vecchio. Although Florence is known for it's fine leather goods, many shops either carry inferior quality products that are mostly produced in China and just "finished" in Italy, or are so expensive their wares are really no... I had shopped at Roberta at the Via dei Banchi location on a prior trip to Florence, and returned this year with my sister to ensure that she could experience this very special shop. Riccardo was, as always, charming and helpful, and the products in the shop (leathers, wools) are of the highest quality available. I have purchased several of... More

Not sure what the rave reviews are about. Was nothing special, the only gentleman at the counter did not bother to move or help with information.

What a great experience and we owe it all to Riccardo! My sister and I shopped at the Via dei Banchi location and not only did we fall in love with the store, we fell in love with Riccardo. He is so thoughtful and helpful and is pressure free. He must have showed us 10 different styles of gloves, wallets... More

We were in Florence for 10 days and bought several gifts there; mostly scarves. The owner was super helpful and it is obvious the products are of superior quality. Highly recommended for one on one service. Robin

I love the Roberta Shops on Borgo San Jacopo. There are actually two shops--just doors apart. One has leather purses, some belts and an amazing array of gloves. The other has scarves, ties, and more leather goods. They are owned by a brother and sister, Sandro and Susana, who are patient, gracious, unhurried and so helpful. When you are being... More

I found this small place by chance and was very lucky. The choice of leather handbags is exceptional and the prices are really great. Roberta is a pleasant person to deal with and I will recommend this shop to all my friends coming to Florence.

This is a great place to go if one is looking for leather gloves. You may well find Roberta herself behind the counter. Quality gloves at a reasonably price.

Quality, price, service! On a recent trip and recommendation from a friend, I sought out Roberta to buy gloves. The quality, price and service was wonderful. I wanted a particular color and was very excited to see they had it. My sister- in - law was very impressed with how they size and handle the dreamy soft leather. They also... More

My husband and I adored this lovely little shop that sat in via dei banchi (we understand later that there are 3 of Roberta's shop in Firenze). The leather bags/purses and the ties/scarfs were all placed in a simple, neat and appealing fashion. What stood out was our chat with Riccardo! He was very patient and had very good knowledge... Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
