This 19th century piazza has undoubtedly the best panoramic view of Florence. The square is decorated with copies of Michelangelo's sculptures, but it's the view people come here to see.

Loved the walk up as we detoured through a public garden area. The views were magnificent. Statue of David at top was bronze and had turned green. Not till I spoke to my art historian brother did I realize that the 4 maidens at his feet represent the seasons. What a way to see Florence. Breathtaking!

The view is beautiful! It was a really great location to watch the sunset reflect off the river. It's definitely a 5 star view! But I agree with other reviewers. It can be very crowded, and on the night we were there it seemed particularly full of college study abroad students starting to get a little tipsy on their wine.... More

Just a quick bus ride up the Pizzale Michelangelo is the best view in town. From there Florence looks like a medieval village somehow frozen in time. Don't miss it.

This is an easily accessible place, really nice view over the city. If you do not want to wait for hours to climb the tower in the center, take a short walk to this place and enjoy the view.

The famous view onto Florence can only be accessed from this famous piazza. Go and enjoy it, particularly during sunset (either morning or evening).

This place has an amazing view of Florence. A somewhat romantic place where you can relax and have coffee and gelato and enjoy the view. It even comes with a David statue! I recommend taking a bus here as the parking gets full quickly.

I visited several times a day in my 3 days in Florence, and each time was a treat. The sculptures will take hours to enjoy. The vast square is the perfect location for a concert, which seemed to happen often at night. Strolling performers, sidewalk artists. and the occasional pickpocket .... all are part of the ambience!

A little of a hike after a long day of sight seeing but worth it!! Such a beautiful spot to view the city and the outlying mountains. Perfection!
