You can't say you've been to Florence and not catch a glimpse of this beautiful city from this spot. Make a trip, take photos, soak in the view and fall in love with the city all over again ;)

Make sure you have your camera! We wanted to drink wine & watch the sunset here, but the weather did not cooperate while we were in Florence ... hopefully it will for you!

Great viewpoint of the whole city of Florence. It is very busy though and hard to find a parking spot.

We went here twice within 5 days because it's a great way to spend an evening and it has the best views of Florence. The first time we went up we also climbed a little higher and went to the beautiful church at the top, which I would recommend. On the way down you can also visit the Japanese peace... More

The view from the Piazzale Michelangelo is my favorite of all the places and countries I have ever visited.

The view is as incredible as touted. We took the #12 bus up and got off right at the Piazzale. After a brief refreshment at La Loggia Restaurant we went up the hill to see the San Miniato church, which are really worth it. Then we strolled back down to the overlook and the third David statue. We competed with... More

Don't miss this view of the city; it is outstanding. And go early to avoid the crowd and have better light for photos.

After climbing the steps from the Torre di San Niccolo (they are not too steep) you are rewarded with a fanstic panoramic view of Florence. Depending on your outlook, it is very touristy, but you can look at it as the opportunity to do some souvenir shopping :-) You can also find one of the fake David staues here. Sunset... More

We were expecting much more of a hike to get to the Piazzale, but it was mostly a lot of stairs. We would have loved some shade to rest in from the sun; we finally found a bit in the shadow of the Michelangelo monument. The views of the city were worth the heat and the hike up, though.

Beautiful view morning and evening. Must see. Best is to go just before sunset so you can see it during light and when it gets dark.
