Owner description: 'Slow day in Tuscany'offered by Slow-Days® takes you to a family owned vineyard for wine tasting, a charming medieval hill town and full meal at a Tuscan Slow Food restaurant. Not so much a tour as a chance to meet the locals.

My family and I had the most wonderful time with Simon and Fernando. This is an excellent day if you want to relax, see the sights of Tuscany, sip some amazing wine and eat some delicious meals then this is a great "tour" for you. Simon was a great guide and Fernando is just the sweetest vineyard owner. We truly... More

My wife and I just spent a wonderful day with Manuela and Simon on a gorgeous November day in Tuscany. Manuela and Simon combined a perfect mix of cooking, eating, winetasting, and touring the beautiful countryside and historic villages. We were most fortunate to be the only couple in the class, so we had much time for fun interaction and... More

I arrived into Florence and decided at the last minute I wanted to do a day trip in Tuscany but I didn't want the large crowds or big towns. So this day trip was perfect and exceeded my expectations. Simon was a great host - very friendly, knowledgable and clearly passionate about wine and Tuscany. I felt like I learnt... More

Simon picks you up in Florence in an old VW bus. Eight people max. He then drives you out of town, narrating, chatting, and stopping for vistas and vineyards. The best part of his tour is the secret mountain town, with wine tasting and exploration of a small family-run vineyard. Then on to a sumptuous lunch in Greve with a... More

I would highly recommend taking a "Slow Day in Tuscany". I read a number of reviews that raved about this, so my expectations were quite high. And, I'd say they were exceeded! Simon picked us up (our group was six people) and he is a great guide. The smaller group was nice because we got a chance to get to... More

We booked this tour online from Sydney Australia while planning our trip to Italy. What a great decision it was. Simon picked us up in his yellow VW wagon out front of the National library in Florence raring to take us on our Adventure into the Tuscan Hills. Great stops along the way at an easy pace. Wine tasting was... More

This is an absolute must for your visit to this region. Simon and Manuela were so charming and engaging we did not want the day to end. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of seeing, doing, cooking and drinking the local flavor. Visiting the Montefioralle vineyard and Ferdinando Siena, the owner was icing on the cake. My husband missed this Tuscan experience... More

We were picked up close to our hotel and driven into the Tuscan countryside. The ride provided beautiful scenery with some photo stops included. We arrived at the farmhouse of the Montefioralle vineyard where Manuela gave us our cooking lessons. The atmosphere could not be more authentic and the food we prepared under her direction was delicious. When we finished... More

A 9am start to a Slow Day sounds about right as we head off through the markets in the streets just north of the Duomo for a brisk walk down to the National Library on the Arno River to meet our tour for the day. We stroll through the Piazza Santa Croce and past the Cathedral of the same name... More
