I took my 7 year old daughter with me to a 3 hour cooking class with Marcella. She is such a wonderful person and cooking instructor. In advance, she had emailed us a list of hundreds of recipes to select from. We were overzealous and selected 3 different pastas, fried zucchini blossoms, and gelato! She had everything prepped and ready... More

I went to Marcella's with my daughter for her birthday treat and we were thrilled with everything from start to finish. Marcella's welcome, her knowledge and expertise, and her enthusiasm for food and for us to have a wonderful experience made it all perfect. We had chosen our menu before we went, and made pasta with sea bass, gnocchi with... More

Thank you Marcella for everything! Especially for going out of your way to teach me the things I wanted to know, it was a BIG LIST. The food was awesome! I will treasure our time together forever. You are a special lady! Susan M

It has been nearly a year since I wrote my original review for our experience with Marcella, and I feel I need to add a little more to it. My wife and I took a lesson while vacationing in Florence last July, and loved the experience at the time. However, the real value of this experience is the fact that... More

Where do I begin about this incredible experience. From the moment we walked into the kitchen we were impressed. Marcella is a lovely person who aims to please. Ahead of time she gave us a large list of different recepies to choose from and was very helpful with suggestions. The whole experience was one of the best things our family... More

At the last minute, we decided to sign up our family of five for a three-hour cooking class at Giglio. Not everyone was sure they'd like it, but it turned out to be a highlight of our trip! This is an intimate, authentic way to enjoy the culture and food in Italy. The kitchen space is great: just outside of... More

My husband and I booked a class while on our honeymoon and we both had THE best time. It's incredibly personal, just you and Marcella, and she couldn't have been more lovely. Aside from that, the knowledge she has is astounding, such an educational class. You really do learn loads - and luckily you get all the info to take... More

Thank you Marcella for teaching us the fine art of quality cooking. 3 generations of women spent the morning cooking gnocchi in a sausage sauce, mussels and clams and a lemon ricotta cheesecake. Hands down the best we have ever eaten. Marcella's knowledge of cooking and her graciousness made for a wonderful day.

Spent a few hours today, with my husband and 2 kids (13 & 15), at the Giglio Cooking School as part of my husband's 50th birthday celebration in Italy. It was the first of 2 lessons and we can hardly wait for tomorrow! Marcella is so nice and, above all, super-professional. She will take your dietary needs and taste into... More

Learning to cook Tuscan food in Florence is a one of a kind experience. Having carefully sifted through the numerous cooking schools in town, we finally chose Giglio Cooking. Marcella was helpful all throughout. I had gotten in touch with her months before our trip, and she assisted me with all our inquiries on scheduling and menu planning. She offers... More
