After a mountain of a climb and trek across town and up and up slopes and steps the view was amazing! Definitely not for the faint hearted, unfit or less abled!

It's great to see an amazing piece of art, but the museum isn't all that great. Kind of bland. Long lines with little pizazz for the featured item.

The Accademia is a relatively small gallery and can be done in about an hour. Seeing the "David" was absolutely breathtaking and very much worth seeing.

Haveing seen photos and film of David all my life, my anticipation at the prospect of seeing the statue of David in Florence was "OK, lets see it and I can mark it off my list". It wasn't a "must see". I was wrong!
I was completely unprepared for the beauty of this masterpiece. It literally took my breath away....

A must see and the Accademia worth the visit too.
I remember studying Michelangelo at school and to see the original in real lifeis truly amazing.
The gallery is interesting with both modern and famous artists.
